DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Scribe Simon Kinberg Chats FANTASTIC FOUR Reboot
A little over a week since X-Men: Days Of Future Past stunned audiences everywhere, Simon Kinberg has quickly become a fan favourite following the film's success. Kinberg has been in the superhero movie business for a while, even writing X-Men: The Last Stand, but because of how awesome Days Of Future Past actually is, we're not going to hold that film against him. Chatting with The Daily Beast, Kinberg revealed some interesting details regarding Fox's upcoming Fantastic Four reboot which is currently "shooting."
After the failure of the sequel to 2005's Fantastic Four film, Fox announced that they would be rebooting the franchise going in a brand new direction. This new direction lead fans to be weary of the project even after the film cast a stellar cast including Miles Teller, Jamie Bell, Kate Mara and Michael B. Jordan as the Four. Kinberg revealed that he was on set of Days Of Future Past when he first spoke to Chronicle director Josh Trank about the project. Kinberg revealed that he "talked to Josh, and he had such a clear vision of what he wanted to do with the film that was so different from the other movies—it was grounded, real, gritty, and what it would really be like if you went through a transformation and lost control of your body," Kinberg then revealed that the film would be a "coming of age story," which felt "fresh" to him.
Kinberg has discussed the tone of the new film before, going as far as to compare it to Sam Raimi's original Spider-Man film from 2002. Kinberg reveals that the film will "feel unique as when you saw Iron Man, X-Men, or Batman Begins for the first time," Having a tone like those films would leave some room for some humour which Kinberg reveals that it's not "goofy" like the previous movies. Kinberg also stated that the film falls somewhere between Chronicle and Raimi's first two Spider-Man films.
You cannot bring up the Fantastic Four reboot without bringing up the very controversial casting of Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch. Kinberg revealed that "Stan Lee loves" the casting of Jordan. Teasing the audience and the fans, Kinberg also revealed that while on set he "can also tell you that having been on set and seeing Michael bring him to life, he’s really spectacular. He’s doing something really cool with the character that I think will become the iconic Johnny Storm."

THE FANTASTIC FOUR Reboot Finally Begins Shooting
It's finally happening! After months and months on end, Fox's Fantastic Four reboot has finally begun production in Louisiana. According to The Times, "Twentieth Century Fox's "Fantastic Four" reboot begins production at Baton Rouge's Celtic Media Centre today (May 5), according to a production spokesman," Of course this will come as exciting news to any unbiased Marvel Comics fan, but yet you will find people somehow complaining about this film and the wonderful cast they have lined up to play these iconic roles. The film began shooting on May 5th and it is likely that we will start seeing set pictures within the coming days/weeks. Remember, Jurassic World is also shooting in Louisiana and it took us 3 days to receive the first set photo, so we could see a photo by Friday.
So what do you make of Fox's Fantastic Four reboot, are you on board this take? Or are you hoping that it fails to catch an audience and have the rights return to Marvel? Comment below and let us know!

Third WOLVERINE Film Finds Writer In David James Kelly
Following yesterday's awesome news, regarding the release date of the third Wolverine film, Deadline is reporting that David James Kelly, most known for writing and directing short films such as Stay Sill and The Recruit, will pen the screenplay. With shooting set to commence in 2016, following the release of X-Men: Apocalypse, which rumour has it, will feature Hugh Jackman's Wolverine once more. Kelly interestingly has written a Fox/Marvel film before, sadly the film never saw the light of day. This film was the supposed Daredevil reboot, which was set to be directed by The Grey director, Joe Caranahan.
Hugh Jackman is set to return for the 9th time as Logan/Wolverine, with The Wolverine director, James Mangold set to return aswell. Wolverine 3 is set to hit theatres everywhere on March 3rd, 2017.

Miles Teller Talks FANTASTIC FOUR Casting & Advice From DIVERGENT Co-Stars

DIVERGENT Star Miles Teller Talks 'Mr Fantastic' & FANTASTIC FOUR
Earlier this month, it was revealed that 21 & Over star, Miles Teller, would be portraying the
iconic character of Reed Richards/Mr Fantastic, in Fox's Fantastic Four reboot. Teller (27), who starred in this year's That Awkward Moment (My review here) and last year's crowd-pleaser, The Spectacular Now, sat down with IGN to discuss his upcoming film, Divergent. Unlike most actors who are cast as superheroes, Teller did not lie when asked if he grew up a comic book reader, Teller said "Well, for me I didn't grow up really as a comic book kid necessarily. Fantastic Four is my dad's favorite superhero comic." Usually when an actor is cast as a certain superhero, the actor would say how much they enjoyed the comic book growing up, and it's nice to see some honesty now and then. Teller followed up his comments by saying, "I think Josh Trank is a very creative, inventive guy. You look at Chronicle, you look at what he did for that budget and just how he told the story was really well done. I want to chase directors at this point, and then the cast kind of came together -- Michael B. (Jordan), Kate Mara, and Jamie Bell -- I was very excited." This is also the second confirmation of Jamie Bell as The Thing, Bell and Teller were only rumoured previously, but we can now confirm (although it had been thought for a while) that Bell is in fact Ben Grimm.
Miles Teller also discussed the tone of the film saying, "I was joking around about a year ago, 'I guess I'll be playing a superhero soon' because that's just the world that we're in, but I think a lot of times it just looks like Hollywood actors in Halloween costumes, you know? And I think what we're going to do with Fantastic Four is going to be very grounded and it made sense to me." You can read the rest of the interview in the link above, and you can check out Teller and The Amazing Spider-Man 3(?) actress, Shailene Woodley in this month's Divergent.

FANTASTIC FOUR Director Josh Trank Debunks Rumoured Synopsis
![]() |
| Image Credit: Comic Vine |
Fantastic Four. While the actors/actresses who were going in for roles were not unheard of (all were previously rumoured) the sheet included a synopsis for the film. Chronicle director, Josh Trank, who will also direct this adaption of Marvel's first superhero team, has tweeted regarding the synopsis. The rumoured synopsis had Reed Richards becoming a genius AFTER the events that turn him into Mr. Fantastic which would enrage many fans, like myself. As I mentioned on my Twitter account, that synopsis was from two to three months ago, before Simon Kinberg was brought in to rewrite the script. My info was backed up by the film's director, Josh Trank, when he took too Twitter to say the synopsis is "definitely not the synopsis or anything close to the synopsis. i don't know who put that out." While this may be a sigh of relief for some fans, a lot of people are still bummed that Fox are making another Fantastic Four film and believe Marvel should have the rights. Interestingly, the director has come out to debunk the rumoured synopsis, but he has been very quiet when it comes too the rumoured cast. The actors/actresses who went/are going in for a audition for Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic include: Miles Teller, Kit Harington and Richard Madden, and for Susan Storm/The Invisible Woman include: Kate Mara and Saoirse Ronan. So far, the only confirmed actor too be cast in a role is Michael B. Jordan, who (according too many) will portray Susan Storm's younger brother, Johnny Storm. Which would likely mean that Kate Mara will end up playing The Invisible Woman. According too multiple sources, the Four leads will be cast by the end of the month, hoping for a March 31st shooting. You can check out Trank's tweet below:
that synopsis is definitely not the synopsis or anything close to the synopsis. i don't know who put that out. byyee.

Hey folks! I've been trying to think about what I should write about next, and then it hit me! I'm here today to share my thoughts on which 5 cancelled TV shows I would like to see revived via Netflix!
Now, by now we have all heard about Arrested Development's triumphant return through Netflix as well as Netflix's original programming including Hemlock Grove, Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, and more on the way (such as Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and The Defenders from Marvel). That being said, since we know Netflix has revived shows in the past, here are my personal Top 5 shows that I would love to see make a return to my computer screen:
5. V
V was an incredible series in my opinion. It took a concept that was from the 1980's and made it into something better and modern and into something the audiences could sink their teeth into.
I remember watching the first episode back in 2009 hoping that this series would get at least three seasons. It got two, but it was enough for me to get into the series and fall in love with it just as dearly as those who worked on it did. Oddly enough I don't think enough people appreciate this show, which is sad to me.
The Season 2, and series, finale left us with a few big cliffhangers, so big to the point that I wish I had put this show up higher on my list, but that would take away from the other shows that I want on here, so I cannot do that. I was actually fighting with myself to make either V or Firefly the 5th spot on this list, and ultimately I obviously chose V. Firefly was given some "closure" with Serenity, whereas V was left empty handed. This show would definitely work well on Netflix, though you'd have to kill off Elizabeth Mitchell's character on Revolution in order to do so... Which I wouldn't mind because she's a bad-ass on V whereas on Revolution she can sometimes be irritating.
4. HUMAN TARGET
Another FOX show! There will be a total of two shows on this list that FOX has had the "honor" of killing, and this one's the second!
Let me be perfectly honest with you all here, Human Target was a fantastic show and cancelling it was one of the biggest mistakes FOX has ever made. Mark Valley, Chi McBride, and Jackie Earle Haley were phenomenal! While watching Season 1 live, Christopher Chance (like Dean Winchester) quickly became one of my favorite television characters. He was just a blast to watch in action! The best part about this series is that usually, the cases they work on don't turn out the way we might think. Not to mention the over-arching plot-lines with Chance's former boss and, of course, Baptiste (played by Lennie James).
Now, some people aren't too fond of Season 2, and I understand why, but I think it's great. Ilsa and Ames are very good additions to the series and actually help the team, for the most part, as opposed to being a hindrance or simple plot device. The way the season ended, it could have been a solid conclusion to the series, but there are still too many loose ends that need to be tied up. For instance, more with the Old Man and Baptiste, Guerrero backstory, the Chance/Ilsa relationship, and so on and so forth.
Unfortunately, FOX never really gave this show a fair enough chance (ha!) and I would love to see Netflix take this series and re-ignite the spark that it had when the series first started, because I could always use some more Human Target! Plus, it's more DC Comics television!!!
3. JERICHO
Ah Jericho... Jericho started in 2006 and quickly became the little show that could. At the end of it's first full season, CBS wanted to cancel the series. Fans rioted and got the network to pick it up for a 7 episode second season. After that, the series was once again over. IDW Publishing released a Jericho: Season 3 - Civil War comic book series that continued from the Season 2 finale and are now onto a Season 4 book as well.
Jericho is one of those shows that hooks you in right away and makes you question everything you know about your country, your life, and what you would do if a nuke went off in a city near you. Jericho is about one town trying to stay alive. A town attacked by mercenaries, government agents, and the town next-door to try and take their land, supplies, and food. Jericho is truly a story about survival and it is one of the best television series I have watched, ever.
Unlike most of the shows on this list, this is one show that I could actually see Netflix picking up, especially since the actors and series creators aren't doing much currently (one of the series creators actually also created Human Target!). In fact, I think out of all the shows on my list, this is the one I could see them picking up most. I won't say it's the one I WANT them to pick up most because obviously that would be the #1 on my list, but it's definitely one that I would want more than just about any show out there.
2. TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES
Speaking of shows that will never be revived, in the wake of Terminator: Genesis and a new Terminator television series, I know TSCC would never come back in any way, shape, or form (unless it be a comic book), but I will still put this show on my list. In fact, it's probably even more unlikely to be revived than Firefly would be!
I love TSCC. As a huge Terminator fan in general, the entire concept of this show was great. Don't get me wrong, I really do love (as a Terminator fan) both Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and Terminator Salvation, but the idea of an alternate timeline in which John and Sarah Connor were sent to the present from the past really intrigued me, especially since before hand people only traveled back in time, not forward. "Mr. Ferguson is Ill Today" actually still remains as one of my all time favorite episodes of television, not just TSCC but of all of television. The show was just so well done, and out of Firefly and Human Target, this is the series I'm most upset with FOX for cancelling.
Unfortunately, actresses Summer Glau and Lena Headey are busy with other things to bring this show back, another reason why it wouldn't ever happen, but regardless I would definitely watch if TSCC were to return. To this day, TSCC is one of my favorite sci-fi series' of all time.
1. ALPHAS
This one probably surprises you. I'm guessing most people expected my #1 to be some big FOX, NBC, CBS show, but it's not, it's a SyFy show. Alphas is another show that I would put in my list for favorite sci-fi series, easily.
Alphas was a lot like X-Men, and people said that show show ripped off the X-Men, and to an extent maybe, but over-all I disagree. It took the concept of X-Men and took away the superhero aspect and made them individual people. More than that, when Bill, the character with super-strength, uses his powers, it puts stress and strain on his heart. Kat, who can learn any move by observing it, can't remember what happened a month ago. Nina, who can control you by looking into your eyes, can be controlled by her own power. Gary, who can see all electromagnetic radiation/wavelengths, has autism. Cameron, who can hyperkinesis, cannot use his power when under a lot of stress. And so on and so forth. Not only did Alphas make mutants (or in the shows case, "alphas") more human, it also gives them weaknesses much like any normal person has. That's what I loved about this show, not to mention the entire Red Flag plot-line.
The characters of Alphas were also easy to get into and like. There was not one character on the show I hated except for the villain, who we are supposed to hate, obviously. Even when some characters turned "dark-side", I still was rooting for them and I wanted them to over-come it, all of which did. Unfortunately, the series fell due to the Summer Glau Curse, no just kidding, but she was on the show for about 3-4 episodes.
Alphas ended with an unresolved cliffhanger that will most-likely never have an ending, which will leave us guessing whether the characters lived or died for the rest of our lives. This show would work great on Netflix!
Runners Up
FIREFLY - Would it ever happen? No. Can I dream? Absolutely!
BREAKING IN - Probably the one on my "Runners Up" that I would want the most... This show was just so funny and Michael Rosenbaum's Dutch was one of the best things I've ever seen in terms of television comedy. I'd love this show to get the Netflix treatment!
CHUCK - At first I was disappointed with the finale, but since then I have come to love and accept it. Though I still think there are so many more stories to tell and as Chuck is one of my favorites, I'd do anything to have it back.
FRINGE - Some people love the finale (me!), some people hate it, but either way I think there's more you could do with the Fringe-verse, even if you made it focus on the alternate versions of the main characters as opposed to the ones we've been following for 5 years!

DC Comics Confirms Five TV Shows In Development!
DC officially confirmed several live-action TV shows in development during this week’s DC All Access! Some of these shows have already been confirmed by press reports, but now we have official confirmation from DC that the following shows are in development:
'The Flash'
This Arrow spin-off has actually already been confirmed by press reports but DC has just officially announced it's development! Not sure I want Grant Gustin for the lead role of The Flash until I see him portray the character (Barry Allen) on Arrow. Let's hope it's great!
'Gotham'
The rumored Commissioner Gordon show titled Gotham has also been finally confirmed to be in development. I think we can all agree that Bryan Cranston is perfect for the lead role of Commisoner Gordon. After The Flash, this is the show I'm anticipating the most.
'Constantine'
Oh, the conman who dabbles in sorcery and the supernatural . Constantine is a gritty character who’s about as far on the magic-using spectrum from Harry Potter and Gandalf as you can get! In development for NBC!
'Hourman'
A DC live-action show based on a character who isn't popular? I can dig that, and respect it. I'm looking forward to Hourman! In development for The CW!
'iZombie'
No, this isn't a Walking Dead version of iCarly. (Was that funny? No? Ok). Anyways, iZombie promises to be "...a lot different than the other zombie shows and movies out there should it make it to series", DC's offical site states. Currently in development for The CW.
As for releases dates, nothing specific yet. DC states they'll "Hopefully be making it to the fall TV schedule".

I've been a comic book fan for years, I remember watching the classic 1990's X-Men television show on Fox Kids every morning at 8:35. When I went to see The Avengers, I was a bit disappointed, but that's in the past, now, today, we have a new exciting glimpse of hope for a possible film that would blow James Cameron's suck up films off the top two highest grossing films ever. Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige, sat down to discuss Marvel's latest film, Thor: The Dark World (you can read my review here). Feige engaged in a fan Q&A and was asked once again if a 'Spider-Man, X-Men and Avengers film would ever hit the big screen'. Feige of coursed delivered a pretty studio answer, but reminded us all that he is, like ourselves, a fan. Feige said, quote "I would say, not any time soon would we be in a position to team up with other studios who have a few of our characters because we have so many characters ourselves."Before following up with a answer that will leave fans pleading, "But I would never say never." With Feige's answer, would you be keen to see a team up film?

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Trailer Confirmed For 2 Mins & 15s
In a rather exciting day for SuperheroMoviesNews.com, it's not over yet! Thanks to the British Board Of Film Classification, we have a confirmed time for the first trailer to next year's anticipated X-Film, X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Earlier this year we posted the leaked trailer more than three times, and that trailer was apparently around 2 minutes in full length. So I'd be one to assume the trailer we will see drop will be the trailer that was shown at Comic-Con earlier this year. Disappointing, but what can you do? The confirmed trailer has a running time of 2 Minutes and 15 Seconds. How do you feel about this confirmation? Are you excited for the trailer or not? Keep in mind, now that this trailer has been confirmed, check back every day for an update on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer length.
X-Men: Days Of Future Past hits theatres everywhere, July 18th, 2014.
