Today, The CW announced the premiere date for their upcoming zombie comedy iZombie. It is based on the Vertigo comics imprint and will debut March 2015. They also revealed the first trailer for the show based on the pilot episode.

Today a slew of posters were released for the upcoming comic book shows across the networks. From FOX's Gotham to ABC's S.H.I.E.L.D prequel Agent Carter. Also, The CW released posters for their upcoming Arrow spin-off The Flash as well as iZombie

Today a slew of television news broke from various networks today. A bunch of full season orders as well as numerous cancellations on certain shows. The CW has already gone ahead and renewed Arrow for several more seasons over a month ago but what about it's spin off The Flash? Well, today The CW announced TV series orders on both The Flash and iZombie!

Lastly, the shows The Carrie Diaries, Star-Crossed and The Tomorrow People have been cancelled! They also have passed on Supernatural: Bloodlines spin-off series based off the characters from Supernatural.

Based upon characters published by DC Comics. Through a freak accident, scientist Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is given the power of super speed, which transforms him into the Fastest Man Alive.

:: iZOMBIE ::

A med student-turned-zombie takes a job in the coroner's office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity. But with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse's memories. With the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head. Based on the characters created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, and published by DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint.

Over at NBC they officially ordered a full season on the upcoming David Goyer produced supernatural comic book TV series Constantine (via The Hollywood Reporter) as well as providing a very long plot synopsis:

GOTHAM is based upon characters published by DC Comics and is produced by Warner Bros. Television. Executive producer Bruno Heller (“The Mentalist”) wrote the pilot, which will be directed and executive-produced by Emmy Award nominee Danny Cannon (the “CSI” series, “Nikita”).

Deadline TV revealed the first members cast in DC's/Vertigo Comics upcoming zombie show iZombie. It sounds nothing like the original comic. They include Malcolm Goodwin (Breakout Kings) as a police officer named Clive. Who wasn't in the comic. They also added Alexandra Krosney (The Last Man Standing) who plays the lead females best friend Peyton. With David Andres cast as the antagonist Blaine.

Whats interesting is they even changed the female lead's name from Gwen to Liv. A synopsis was also released:

With the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective (Goodwin), she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head. Goodwin’s Clive is a detective who recently received a promotion from vice to homicide but has been floundering for his first two months and is in desperate need of making a case. Though dubious at first about Liv’s “psychic” powers, she demonstrates too much accuracy for him not to take her seriously.

Today TV Guide released the upcoming shows that will receive a pilot on The CW. They include Alex Kutzman & Roberto Orcis Jane the Virgin. They also announce that Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas upcoming DC show iZombie will get a pilot! Yes another zombie show..

Based on DC Comics' series, iZombie is a supernatural crime procedural about a med student-turned-zombie who takes a job in the coroner's office to obtain the brains she must eat to maintain her humanity. However, with every brain she consumes, she also inherits the corpse's memories. In order to silence those disturbing voices in her head, she solves homicide cases along with her medical examiner boss and a police detective.

 Based on that synopsis it sounds a lot like Warm Bodies
