Lionsgate & Saban Brands Announce POWER RANGERS Live-Action Reboot
Go, go [gritty and realistic] Power Rangers? Perhaps! Just 10 minutes ago, it was announced that Saban Brands and Lionsgate will uniute for the most badass and epic motion picture the world has ever seen. The Might Morphin' Effin Power Rangers! That title may change within the next couple of months, but for now, we're calling the film that. Now this reboot may come as a bit of a surprise for some people (myself included) but boy is this awesome news. Ever since Michael Bay brought the Transformers to life in 2007, I have been dying for a new take on the Power Rangers and, I'm happy to say, I will finally get it.
The Wall Street Journal broke the news, here's what they had to say:
"Lionsgate is the perfect home for elevating our Power Rangers brand to the next level," said Saban. "They have the vision, marketing prowess and incredible track record in launching breakthrough hits from The Hunger Games to Twilight and Divergent. In partnership with the Lionsgate team, we're confident that we will capture the world of the Power Rangers and translate it into a unique and memorable motion picture phenomenon with a legacy all its own."We're thrilled to be partnering with Haim Saban and his team to maximize the potential of this immensely successful and universally recognized franchise," said Feltheimer. "The Power Rangers stories and characters have been embraced by generations of audiences for more than 20 years, and today they are more powerful than ever. We have the ideal partner and the perfect brand with which to create a motion picture event that will resonate with moviegoers around the world for years to come."
Hot diggity damn, a Power Rangers movie like Twilight? Sign me up now! Of course Lionsgate will [hopefully] take a different approach with their new Power Rangers franchise, but at this point, who really knows? Could we see Robert Pattinson suit up as Tommy the Green Ranger? Or Kristen Stewart as the Pink Ranger? Who knows! Heck we might see Saorise Ronan audition for this film, and maybe she'll tell everyone like she did with Star Wars and Avengers.

THE FANTASTIC FOUR Reboot Finally Begins Shooting
It's finally happening! After months and months on end, Fox's Fantastic Four reboot has finally begun production in Louisiana. According to The Times, "Twentieth Century Fox's "Fantastic Four" reboot begins production at Baton Rouge's Celtic Media Centre today (May 5), according to a production spokesman," Of course this will come as exciting news to any unbiased Marvel Comics fan, but yet you will find people somehow complaining about this film and the wonderful cast they have lined up to play these iconic roles. The film began shooting on May 5th and it is likely that we will start seeing set pictures within the coming days/weeks. Remember, Jurassic World is also shooting in Louisiana and it took us 3 days to receive the first set photo, so we could see a photo by Friday.
So what do you make of Fox's Fantastic Four reboot, are you on board this take? Or are you hoping that it fails to catch an audience and have the rights return to Marvel? Comment below and let us know!

First Official Look At Optimus Prime From TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION
Michael Bay's Transformers franchise is responsible for many things, Megan Fox, Shia LaBeouf becoming an ass and Chevrolet. Earlier today, Empire Magazine showcased the brand new and revamped Optimus Prime from next year's Transformers film, Age Of Extinction. While some have called the film a reboot, the film will take place 5-10 years after the events of Dark Of The Moon, and will feature brand new characters. Honestly, I am a fan of this new Optimus Prime, I don't really care that much about how he looks, but if this is how he's going to look? Fine, fantastic, good luck to 'em. You can check out Transformers: Age Of Extinction star, Jack Reynor in Vince Vaughn's new movie, Delivery Man (out in theatres now) or you can wait until June to see him bust up some robot ass.
Transformers: Age Of Extinction hits theatres June 2014.
