Massive Spoilers Leak On What Happens To Captain America, Thor and Iron Man Before 'Infinity War'

Today in Dave of Latino-Review's spoiler filled column he revealed that the deal between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures seems to have gone through to allow Spider-Man to appear in Avengers: Infinity War Part I. He also goes onto reveal some massive spoilers on what is to become of Marvel's big three Captain America, Thor and Iron Man before the massive intergalactic battle with Thanos.

    :: Massive Spoilers Ahead ::

According to their sources towards the end of Captain America: Civil War it seems Steve Rogers will indeed be killed off as seen in the climax of the Civil War comic story arc "Death of Captain America". It will be at the hands of Crossbones () and will be during the feud between Rogers and Tony Stark after Stark finds out it was Bucky who killed his planets as confirmed in Captain America: The Winter Solider. They go onto claim somehow Iron Man will end up in space but is extremely vague on this. Remember Tony Stark does join the Guardians of the Galaxy in the comics so this might be how the Guardians warn The Avengers about Thanos since remember...they have no idea he even exists yet. Lastly, in Thor: Ragnarok many Asgardians will die and this will lead to Thor (Chris Hemsworth) being sent to a "Galactic Prison" of sorts. Is this him finally being sent to Valhalla? And just like that the top three Marvel characters will be out of Avengers: Infinity War Part I.

Who will then defend earth from Thanos? Apparently the "New" Avengers may end up being lead by Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) himself along with Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman). Others on the team include Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver (Elizabeth Olsen & Aaron Taylor-Johnson), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly), Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Iron Fist (TBA). New additions also include Captain Marvel (TBA) and Spider-Man (TBA) will also play a large part as well. Lastly, they add the any of the Guardians of the Galaxy and Inhumans could also play a part in the battle. Let's just hope Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) gets to shine in the films once again without being forced to add any of the other characters from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D into the movies.

None of the original Avengers from the first two phases will have a part in Infinity War Part I because they will return for Infinity War Part II.This will be Marvel's first test to see if these new characters can lead the company into future Phases without the main Avengers appearing.

Avengers: Infinity War Part I hits in 2018

Robert Downey Jr is NOT Doing 'Iron Man 4' But Still Involved As Tony Stark For Future Marvel Films

Earlier today Robert Downey Jr appeared on The Ellen Show and seemingly confirmed that he and Marvel Studios are re-negotiating for some future Marvel movies and one maybe being Iron Man 4. Many news websites took this as an automatic confirmation that Iron Man 4 is on the way! But that is simply not the case...

Now Robert appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman who once again asked him about Iron Man 4 "There's no plans for an Iron Man 4. There's no script for Iron Man 4, but they do have a plan and I think they're going to announce it...they've very secretive about it." He goes to plainly say he is not doing another Iron Man movie "Just between us, no, but I'm going to do other stuff with Marvel. I'm still going to be involved with Marvel and there's gonna be plenty of fun stuff to happen."

Now while the 're-negotiating with Marvel' comment is interesting it just mean Marvel Studios would like to keep Robert on as Tony Stark in the foreseeable future just not in a solo Iron Man film. This could mean cameos and team-ups but nothing more. This is still great news meaning we won't see another actor take over the role that we all have associated with Robert Downey Jr...

Robert Downey Jr and Marvel Are Renegotiating Again For Future Marvel Films

Rumors and more rumors have been circulating as of late regarding Robert Downey Jr and his future at Marvel Studios. As many of you don't know after he completed Iron Man 3 his contract at Marvel was up and he had to re-negotiated terms to appear in The Avengers 2 (Age of Ultron) and The Avengers 3 but that was it. That lead many to speculate after Avengers 3 Marvel would simply introduce a new actor as Tony Stark even though we all associate Tony with Robert.

Well, today Robert Downey Jr was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where she point blank asked him about Iron Man 4 once again. Now while Robert was extremely vague he does mention that he is re-negotiating once again with Marvel. Does this mean Iron Man 4 could be on the way? Of course but it could also mean he will appear as Tony Stark in any other Marvel film not just Iron Man.

Either way it will be interesting to see a report come out on what Marvel franchises we could see Tony Stark appear in. Iron Man is apart of the Guardians of the Galaxy in the most recent comics...if that's anything to go by. He may not even be looking to suit up as Iron Man in future films but simply to stay on as Tony Stark which is also a possibility.

Iron Man 3 is on DVD & Blu-Ray Today

Robert Downey Jr. Would Return For 'Iron Man 4' IF Mel Gibson Directed

Deadline recently caught up with Tony Stark himself Robert Downey Jr while he was promoting his most recent film The Judge. Once again the actor was asked about Iron Man 4 which is yet to happen because Downey is only contractually obligated to show up in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Avengers 3 not Iron Man 4. Well, the actor reveals that if Marvel got Downey's longtime friend Mel Gibson to direct Iron Man 4 he would be down to return:
DEADLINE: Marvel badly wants Iron Man 4 and you’ve said you aren’t doing it. How about the idea you’ll do that movie if Mel directs it?

    DOWNEY: Correct.

    DEADLINE: Is that our headline?

DOWNEY: Why not? That movie would be bananas.
Now this is by no means any type of confirmation but least it's something for you Iron Man fans!

Iron Man 3 is on DVD & Blu-Ray Today!

Robert Downey Jr. & Chris Evans Talk About Passing on The Mantles

Robert Downey Jr recently spoke with Variety in Toronto for his most recent film The Judge. But of course the questions changed and he was asked about if Marvel was considering another Iron Man film since they have several untitled films yet to be announced through 2020 "There isn’t one in the pipe. No, there’s no plan for a fourth ‘Iron Man.'"When asked if he would allow another play Tony Stark much like Batman or James Bond he laughs off the idea:“I like that the idea is that it would be up to me, like I’m casting director for Marvel,” People seem to think that because an Iron Man film isn't coming out every several  years that he will cease to exist in the marvel Cinematic Universe. But no one ever said that Robert can't pop up as Tony Stark in future Marvel films in a simple cameo? Now before you think that would go against his final "appearance" clause in his Marvel contract before or after Avengers 3 keep in mind Chris Evans did a cameo in Thor: The Dark World as Captain America and it didn't count on his contract obligations.

Speaking of Chris Evans he was also asked by MTV News if he would allow another to take up the shield of Captain America like Bucky Barns or even Falcon in which he replied
“Who’s handing off the shield? Don’t take my job from me prematurely dude. I’m sure it’ll happen at some point, all good things have to come to an end. But I’m really happy playing the character.”

Robert Downey Jr & Chris Evans cane be seen in next summers Avengers: Age of Ultron

Robert Downey Jr. Not Ready To Give Up The 'Iron Man' Role Just Yet!

In their lengthy interview from the set of The Avengers: Age of Ultron the magazine Entertainment Weekly spoke with Tony Stark himself Robert Downey Jr. about returning for yet another Iron Man sequel in a possible Iron Man 4. Robert sounded very optimistic as well as a little possessive of the character he brought to life:
“It’s down to Kevin Feige and Ike Perlmutter and Disney to come to us with what the proposal is, and that’s on us to agree or disagree. When things are going great, there’s a lot of agreement. It’s that thing of: why give up the belt when it feels like you can barely get jabbed? Most people are saying that right when they get knocked out."
The idea of Robert Downey Jr passing the role off to another actor came about when he got hurt on the set of Iron Man 3 and he wasn't sure he would want to return again due to his age. Of course it also stemed from his new contract he signed with Marvel where he is only set to appear in The Avengers 2 & 3 with no Iron Man sequel even mentioned.

But after getting back into the role in the new Avengers film maybe Robert Downey Jr. feels great once again. I mean if Harrison Ford can get an injury on Star Wars: Episode VII and come back I'm sure Downey Jr can bounce back!

Director Jon Favreau Wants Robert Downey Jr. Back in 'Iron Man 4'

Granted director and actor Jon Favreau really doesn't have any inside information on a possible Iron Man 4, but he gives his approval that most would love to see Robert Downey Jr. return. Of course we know now that Robert Downey Jr. signed a new contract only to appearing The Avengers 2 & 3 so it seems Iron man 4 may never happen with him. Never-the-less while promoting his new movie Chef the director gives his approval.

If you all may remember Jon Favreau left Iron Man 3 to go make a  film that never happened called The Magic Kingdom. Maybe even Favreau wants to return to the Iron Man universe!

Marvel Easter Eggs Details Galore in 'Marvel One-Shot: All Hail The King'!

A new Marvel DVD is set to be released which means another Marvel One-Shot. Called "All Hail The King" this time it follows Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley) as he is incarcerated in Seagate Prison. He is then interviewed by filmmaker Jackson Norriss (Scoot McNairy) about his time as the evil 'Mandarin' under AIM president Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce). We won't give away to much about what happens in the short but lets just say the terrorist group "The Ten Rings" from Iron Man 1 is not happy with Trevor...

There are apparently a boat load of Marvel Easter Eggs and references in this short film.   Here is a rundown of the easter eggs!
    - Segate Prison is a known prison within the Marvel Universe. It is most known for Luke Cage (Currently getting his own Netflix series). He isn't outright shown in the short but is alluded to being there.

    - The upcoming Netflix Series (Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist & Jessica Jones) will lead in a mini series called The Defenders. A group that also has a member called Nighthawk aka Jackson Norriss the filmmaker

    - Fletcher Heggs (Allen Maldonado) aka The Knight who of Iron Man's villains makes an appearance

    - Another inmate called White Power Dave (Matt Gerald) who is at odds with Trevor may appear in another Marvel film. He is not from any comic.

    - Stay for the entire credits for a Post-Credit scene for a secret cameo

Again the short will be on the Thor: The Dark World Blu-Ray & DVD. Be sure to read the full review over at Gotham-News

Thor: The Dark World hits DVD & Blu-Ray later this month!

Human Butler J.A.R.V.I.S and War Machine Will Return in 'The Avengers' Age of Ultron'

Earlier today during an interview with USA Today Don Cheadle let slip he may return for the second Avengers flick. Now Hitflix confirmed that War Machine has a key role in the battle with Ultron:
"Col. Rhodes, aka War Machine, has a key role in the conflict with Ultron that is the main focus of the sequel."

Now over at Bleeding Cool they reveal that English actor Simon McBurney s the front runner for an undisclosed role in The Avengers 2. They went on to find out that it will be for a Human JARVIS butler. It may end up being a LMD that looks human:
"Not a computer voice Jarvis, mind you, but an actual Butler called Jarvis,"

The Avengers: Age of Ultron hits May 2015

Will Don Cheadle Return for 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron'?

Today USA Today interviewed actor Don Cheadle on his work on Showtimes House of Lies. While talking about his recent work he let slip a small tidbit in the article about reprising the role of Rhodey aka War Machine in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. He goes onto say that he will have "a part to film in the next Avengers movie,"

Thats all the article says. Who knows if they were over generalizing the Marvel films or Rhodey will indeed have a part in the superhero assembly film.  Until we have a more clearer confirmation just take as a rumor for now.

Screenwriter Drew Pearce Denies Mandarin One-Shot Rumor!

WARNING: MAJOR IRON MAN 3 SPOILERS!
UPDATE: Drew Pearce, the screen writer of Iron Man 3, took to Twitter to deny the rumor, saying: "One thing I know for sure: nobody's going to be apologizing for the Mandarin twist any time soon." The report is unconfirmed and was seeming doubtful to begin with, but here's the report:
According to the guys over at Latino Review, the "secret project" Ben Kingsley has been teasing is the next "Marvel One-Shot" short film that will have the "REAL Mandarin" confronting Kingsley's Trevor Slattery over the "mockery" that he and Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) turned his legacy into in the events of the third Iron Man film.
Were you guys hoping to see this in Marvel's next One-Shot? I know the comic purists would've!

Ben Kingsley's 'Secret Marvel Project' Revealed!

Last week during the press junkets for Enders Game actor Ben Kingsley revealed a revalation that he is currently working on a Top Secret Marvel Project. Most of us assumed it would be a Marvel One-Shot and that turns out to be true!

According to Latino-Review they have the scoop on what the project actually is. Seems Marvel is quite ashamed on how the portrayed the Mandarin in Iron Man 3 and will try to make up for it. In this new One-Shot the REAL Mandarin will be coming after Aldrich Killian and Trevor Slattery. The real Mandarin is pissed off on how they used his name and made a fool out of it. Who will play the real Mandarin is unknown.

Yes this news would literally make the entire Iron Man 3 film redundant.

Marvel Studios Head Talks Spider-Man Crossover, Phase 3, and Batman vs Superman

Kevin Feige has been the man this week during the Thor: The Dark World junkets. Every interview has been grilling him hardcore on Marvel's Phase III and beyond. Now thanks to the french site Reviewer we have a new giant interview where he talks from Spider-Man Crossover with The Avengers to Batman vs Superman. Take a look!

What happens if you don't share the same vision as your co-workers, like Joss Whedon?
"Well, thankfully, particularly with Joss, we find ourselves on the same page most of the time. Which is why it was such a pleasure doing Avengers with him, and everything leading up to Age of Ultron has been great. But, that’s the nature of filmmaking: a collaborative process where you’re not always gonna agree. The people that fight the most are my exec. producers at Marvel. That has led to better decisions and better movies, I think. That’s healthy."

What do you think of Warner Bros/DC Comics and Batman Vs. Superman?
"You know, Batman and Superman meet up in the comics quite a bit. And I always say that all of us at Marvel started as film fans and comic fans, and the idea of seeing a Batman and Superman film excites us. The idea of seeing it only because of the success that we have had is very flattering."

But do you think Warner Bros. are rushing the shared universe?
"I think there’s probably lots of different ways to achieve something. We have to remember that The Avengers comics only happened because the Justice League comic was successful in the 60’s. Now the movies are happening because The Avengers movie was successful. And what's fun about The Avengers, is that it was existing, well-known heroes, all teaming up teaming up or the first time. Certainly Batman & Superman are well-know. So, they have that."

What about Sir Ben Kingsley and that "secret" project?
"I think the keyword here is "secret", ha ha !"

Is it a TV show, movie or short film?
    (Kevin Feige shakes his head)

What are those other TV shows that Marvel is reportedly working on?
"Anything outside Agents of SHIELD that you read online is just rumours. People are guessing what we do next. I can’t speak much about television, because that’s not what I do. We have a TV division, run by Jeph Loeb, that is doing the Agents of SHIELD show. They’re certainly talking about things in the success of Agents of SHIELD, other opportunities and other TV show, but I don’t know what those are."

But you have to know that kind of stuff, no?
"I would certainly if there was a show that was going to on the air soon, but their intern development is different than us."

So, no new TV shows in the near future?
    "Hum... Yeah."

You said that Tony Stark could be like James Bond, with a new actor playing him in the future.
    "Could be..."

But do you think someday you will have to reboot all the Marvel movies?
"The good news is, I don’t have to think about that anytime soon. All the actors are signed up for many years, I’m signed up for many years. We have plans for many years. So, all we have to worry about right know is what story do we wanna tell, what movie do we wanna make next, where do we wanna take these now iconic characters and what new characters do we want to introduce. But, just the way directors can change from movie to movie, and production one day can change one day from movie to movie. And the way in comics artists and writers are changed, you know I think you’ll see actors changing. But luckily for me, and for the audience, that won’t happen anytime soon at Marvel."

But if you’re still doing this job in 20 years from now, do you want a reboot sometime or do you want to keep the continuity alive?
"I’m more interested in keeping it going. And that’s what I meant by Tony Stark being like James Bond. Or like Batman, these iconic characters that can keep going. And maybe sometimes, you do a Casino Royale or Batman Begins, or things like that. But there’s so many great stories in the comics, why would we want to retell the origins over and over?"

What can you say about Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in The Avengers: Age of Ultron?
"They’re going to be incredibly exciting and live adventures! No, I can’t say much about it. Joss of course has revealed that they will play a huge part in the movie, they will play a huge part in the movie. But, we can’t say much more than that."

Are they good guys or bad guys in the movie?
"Well, we take all of our inspiration from the comics, so... Clues exist !"

There were rumors that the Oscorp tower nearly made it in The Avengers last year. Is that true?
"It’s something we talked about very, very shortly. It became a point of interest in the press, which I understand. The deal was never close to happen."

Will we see Spider-man in a Marvel Studios film one day?
"There are no plans for it. They have movies we wanna make, we have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to Thor stories, and Cap stories and Avengers stories. There’s no creative need for that to happen anytime soon, but it would be cool to happen sometime. But I don’t know when that would be."

Is there gonna be a fourth Iron Man movie?
"Well, if I believe Tony Stark to be James Bond, then there would be and Iron Man 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9... What is James Bond on at? Twenty?"

    So, no Robert Downey Jr.?
"That’s the question. And again, that’s a question we won’t have to face until after Avengers 3. So that’s at least five or six years away."

You said Ultron is a threat they will see coming in The Avengers sequel, can you elaborate on that?
"...No, I can’t. But it will be clear why they have come back together in this film. Which I hope kind of makes it clear retroactively why they didn’t get together at the end of Iron Man 3. Why they didn’t get together to help Thor save London in this film. Some of that will be clear in Captain America : The Winter Soldier. And I think I’ve said that Cap 2 is the link between Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Is Ultron gonna be an Artificial intelligence that Tony Stark built?
"We are adapting his origins from the comics, and in the comics it was Hank Pym. Hank Pym is not in Age of Ultron, so we are tweaking it. We do think there’s another character we have that is quite good with AI, so smart people can make assumption which I can not confirm or deny (He smiles while saying this)."

Speaking of Hank Pym and Ant-Man, there're rumors that Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd are up for the role
"There was rumours that there was discussions. Sometimes rumors are true, sometimes they’re not true. The only thing that is true, is that Edgar Wright is officially in pre-production, he comes to the Marvel office everyday, he and his Marvel partner are tweaking the draft, and we are beginning to have casting discussions. But beyond that, everything is a rumour."

Would you prefer a big-name actor or relatively unknown?
"We’re open to either one. You know, we like introducing new faces, like Chris Hemsworth or Tom Hiddleston, that people haven’t seen before. We like taking people like Robert Downey Jr. or Chris Pratt, that people have at least heard of. We love to surprise people. We will follow that same model."

Are you planning another solo Hulk movie?
"We have been discussing after Avengers what that would be, what that would look like. It’s really Mark Ruffalo portrayal of Bruce Banner, in the way Joss Whedon brought him to life in Avengers that worked. It’s even why you ask me that question. Which is good, we wanted that to happen, we wanted people to come out of Avengers saying The Hulk was their favorite character or at least on of their favorite. The fact that it did happen, was awesome. So, you know, all of the effort related to Hulk right know is going to Age of Ultron. It’s exciting, because he hasn’t been in any other film, so you can expect to have a lot of Bruce Banner and Hulk in Age of Ultron. Where we go after that ? We’ll see. It will be a little while before we figure that out but, we do think there’s plenty of opportunities with the Ruffalo Banner."

What really happened with Edward Norton when you negotiated for The Avengers?
"There never really was a negotiation period on that one."

You didn’t want him for the role?
"They were very very brief, limited discussions. But very soon after that, very early on the process, we identified Mark Ruffalo as who we wanted to play the character."

How are things looking for Ant-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy?
"The only footage of Ant-Man is the test footage which I and Edgar showed to Comic Con. We start filming that next summer. Guardians of the Galaxy, we just finished filming that like a week ago. It is really a very special movie for us at Marvel. We love those characters, we believe in that storyline. Nobody’s ever heard of it, which is in some ways liberating. The way many people had never heard of Iron Man before the first Iron Man movie. So we’re excited to find ourselves sort in the same creative state of mind we were on Iron Man 1. Which is to say : ‘How do we best introduce those characters that most people don’t know, and bring them to a big audience ?’ What James Gunn has done, both in his script and directing the cast... The cast that has been assembled is one that we’re very proud of. The footage looks incredible. People who stay after the credits in Thor: The Dark World will see the initial glimpse of that world."

The Mandarin Not Dead? Ben Kingsley Working with Marvel Again!

Today during the press rounds for Enders Game the discussion on The Mandarin came up with Sir Ben Kingsley. As some of you are aware that he was marketed as The Mandiran up until the premiere of the film then in a film twist he turned out to be a junkie actor Trevor Slattery and not the actual Mandarin. As you can also see in the film Trevor never gets killed just arrested.

Now during his press junket via Belfast Telegraph he reveals he is currently working on a secret Marvel project?!
"It's a secret Marvel project. I'm not allowed to say any more, you're going to have to wait and see,"
When a reporter asked Marvel Head Kevin Feige about this secret project he declined to comment.

    :: Mini Update :: -
While on Reddit this story popped up and saw an interesting rumor. That Trevor breaks out of prison and ends up finding the real 10 rings (Or maybe some jewels from The Infinity Gauntlet) and becomes the real Mandarin.
