First Look At Superman From BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Hits!

    "It's A Bird, It's A Plane, No It's A Brooding Superman?"

Earlier this week we received our first look at Man of Steel star Henry Cavill as Clark Kent in the highly anticipated sequel, Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Today, USA Today revealed the first image of Superman from the upcoming sequel. Sporting his new and improved suit, the image show cases Cavill's new hair style which has been rumoured too look more like Christopher Reeve's hair from the original Superman film in 1978. In addition to the new image, director Zack Snyder also revealed that Gal Gadot has not filmed her  Wonder Woman scenes yet, as she is still "getting ripped."

Snyder also touched on the film itself calling it "denser" and "thicker" than 2013's Man of Steel, Snyder also stated that the film "ultimately leads to Justice League." As if we needed Mr. Snyder to tell us that. The Watchmen director also touched on why he put Batman in the film, saying he "was in no rush in putting Batman in the movie," but "on the other hand it seemed more organic."

More Details About Wonder Woman's "New Look" In MAN OF STEEL 2 Revealed

Ever since model turned actress, Gal Gadot, was announced to play 'Diana Prince/Wonder Woman' in Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel 2, the internet has been very keen to see how the character will look in this latest take on the character. While this marks the 2nd time the character will appear on the big screen, the first being this year's The Lego Movie. Costume designer and frequent collaborator with Zack Snyder, Michael Wilkinson had a few things to say about 'Wonder Woman's' costume for the highly anticipated sequel when talking with The New York Times earlier today. Wilkinson said "I have been given the opportunity to tackle a wide range of genres with my work: big superheroes, gritty contemporary, epic period, science fiction. It keeps me stimulated and challenged as an artist. At the moment, I’m designing the costumes for ‘Batman vs. Superman.’ It’s an honor to be creating new looks for such iconic characters as Wonder Woman. The interesting thing is that my approach is always the same, no matter the genre or the period. I’m using the same tools — silhouette, fabric, color, drape – to help tell the story and illuminate the inner life of the characters." While most of this information is not all that new, it is still nice to see that the film is finally moving forward.

The Man Of Steel sequel is set to hit theatres everywhere, July 17th, 2015.

MAN OF STEEL Receives The Cinema Sins Treatment! [Video]

"A Superman for a new generation... Sponsored by all your parents' favourite products!" Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel has been a topic for much conversation this year, and it seems as if it is not over yet. Cinema Sins have finally released their Everything Wrong With Man Of Steel today. Going over some topics that have been discussed, Cinema Sins actually makes you think more and more about how confusing Man Of Steel. I do however suggest, if you do not like the film (like myself) you will have an absolute blast watching this, however if you are a fan of Zack Snyder's Batman movie, then you might hate the video... Actually  you will despise this video. You can check out the video embed bellow, and go ahead and give Cinema Sins a subscribe on YouTube!

Producer Charles Roven Discusses BATMAN VS SUPERMAN

Producer Charles Roven has been in the movie making business for quite sometime now. Roven has produced countless DC Comics films, including this past Summer's Man Of Steel. Earlier today, Variety caught up with Roven to discuss where the DC Cinematic Universe could be heading, Roven touched on everything from the Ben Affleck casting all the way to at what point the studio believed they should begin work on Man Of Steel 2. After the box office failure that was Superman Returns, Roven believed DC and Warner Bros' should attempt to bring Clark Kent to the modern world, instead of trying to shove the modern world, to a Clark from the past. Below is some of the interesting tidbits from the rather long interview with Variety which you can check out here!

On Man Of Steel And How The Studio Feels About It:
“We felt that we accomplished our goals with ‘Man of Steel,’" Roven says. “Our intention was to bring Superman into the 21st century with a contemporary character and a different kind of superhero than what’s out there right now. We knew we had created a world and we had left Easter eggs in the movie that let people know that in the universe that Zack was creating, there was the possibility of other DC characters besides Clark Kent,” Roven says.
    On Ben Affleck's Casting:
“We wanted a guy who had a certain age and a certain gravitas to what he had done in terms of his recent work,” Roven says. “If you take a look at ‘The Town’ and ‘Argo,’ he plays a couple of serious guys in those movies. He’s a big man. He’s also a mature man. As you see him and Henry together, one definitely has much more experience just by looking at him. That’s what we wanted, particularly juxtaposed against our Superman.”

As mentioned before, you can check out the full interview here. Batman Vs. Superman is set to hit theatres everywhere June 2015, with set photos set to leak around February/March of 2014.

PARKS & REC Star Nick Offerman Reveals His Dream Roles & His Audition For Wolverine!

Parks & Recreation is one of the best shows on telly since The Inbetweeners ended. Star, Nick Offerman, has been a fan favourite for quite a number of comic book movie roles and earlier today Offerman revealed that he had auditioned for the role of 'Logan/Wolverine' in 2000's X-Men. The role that of course went to Hugh Jackman, was almost Ron F***ing Swanson's, imagine that... Awesome. On the audition Offerman said "You know actually, I auditioned for Wolverine when Bryan Singer made the first X-Men movie. I went on tape reading for that role. I always felt when I was younger, I could have taken a good crack at Wolverine." Despite this dream not coming true, Offerman reveals that he has another comic book movie role he'd like to give a shot, and with a reboot set to hit theatres in 2015, this dream could become a reality. The role I am talking about is of course Wonder Woman... Wait, no, it's actually The Thing from The Fantastic Four. Offerman is apparently a huge fan of The Thing saying "But I’ve always gravitated toward Ben Grimm, The Thing of the Fantastic Four. The most great superheroes I think too highly of to dishonour them by casting myself in their shoes. I tend to prefer the more modern teams of misfits."

While I personally feel Nick 'Swanson' Offerman should be cast as J.J Jameson in The Amazing Sider-Man 3, I would not complain if Offerman was cast as Ben Grimm/The Thing... Heck, cast Offerman as everyone, you need a Venom? Offerman, you need a new Ghost Rider? Offerman, you need a new Howard The Duck? Nick Offerman. Anyway, you can check out the full interview over at Newsarama. You can catch Nick Offerman on Parks & Recreation only on NBC.

EXCLUSIVE: Two More Names Pop Up For Nightwing Role In BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN

Earlier this week an interesting rumour dropped regarding the DC Comics character, Nightwing, appearing in the upcoming Man Of Steel sequel, Batman Vs. Superman. Then two days later, it was revealed that Girls star, Adam Driver was one of the many actors on the shortlist for the covered role. Two months ago, I posted a exclusive revealing who Marvel were looking at to play the role of Janet Van Dyne (who later becomes The Wasp) in Marvel’s Ant-Man, which The Schmoes Know confirmed a week later. Now, my source strikes again! This time revealing how many actors are on the shortlist for Nightwing and two actors who are seriously being looked at, read on for more! As said earlier, my source has told me to not reveal his/her real name. Now, if you asked me two months ago, ‘would you want to see Nightwing in Batman Vs. Superman?’ I would have laughed and given a solid, ‘are you serious?’ but now ladies and gentlemen, it appears Nightwing will in fact feature in the film, and earlier today I was notified who else is on the shortlist for the role. The shortlist apparently consists of six actors. One of these actors have been a fan favourite for the role for quite some time now and the other actor is a rather interesting choice, but let’s start with choice number one.

The first of the two rumoured men to be circling the Nightwing role is none other than Gossip Girl alum, Penn Badgley. Badgley hasn’t done much since revealing that he was in fact ‘the’ Gossip Girl. Jokes aside, the studio is seriously looking at Badgley for the role of Dick Grayson/Nightwing in the film and beyond. Badgley is a fan of Batman, and has worked with the studio before, and after his dramatic turn in the film, Greetings From Tim Buckley, it is obvious the studio wants to snap him up before anyone else does.

Now, the second rumoured man for the role is one actor I feel is about to burst on to everyone’s radars. Last year a small romantic dramady came out starring Logan Lerman, Paul Rudd & Emma Watson. Anyone guess what film that was? It was The Perks Of Being A Wallflower; my source has revealed to me that Ezra Miller, who played Patrick, the gay best friend of Logan Lerman’s Charlie, is circling the role. Ezra Miller also appeared in the film, We Need To Talk About Kevin. Miller matches the rumoured ‘young John Hawkes type’ sidekick role Warner Bros’ were looking for, but does his young age limit his chances?

It is obvious that the three rumoured men at the moment, are all extremely talented, but only one man will play Nightwing, so out of the three rumoured men so far, those being, Adam Driver, Penn Badgley and Ezra Miller, who is your choice for the role of Dick Grayson/Nightwing in Batman Vs. Superman? Comment below and let us know! And be sure to share this info with your friends on Twitter and Facebook! As always, you can follow me on Twitter (@RobDogg_).

RUMOUR: THOR's Jaimie Alexander Has Had Conversations With Warner Bros. For BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN

What a wild ride it has been for Thor's Jaimie Alexander. A few months ago I started watching a little show called, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, and I was shocked, let me repeat, shocked, when I saw Alexander make a brief guest appearance in season 3. From her guest role in that show, to being a main attraction to the upcoming Thor: The Dark World, Jaimie's career has finally taken off, and she's not done yet. According to Forbes comic book blogger, Mark Hughes (not the former Manchester City manager, cause he'd probably ruin Forbes aswell.) he chatted with Jamie at Stan Lee's Comikaze Convention this past Friday. Hughes posted on his Twitter account, quote; "Jaimie Alexander has been having "conversations" w/ WB/DC. She also knows things a/b BATMAN VS SUPERMAN's story. Do the math..." While this could mean nothing, it doesn't seem like nothing. Alexander has been a fan favourite for the role of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman for quite some time now, and with Angelina Jolie not getting any younger, it seems we may have to settle for Jaimie... Like that's a bad thing. How would you guys and gals feel about Jaimie Alexander taking on the covered role of Wonder Woman? Alexander also confirmed a Thor 3 is on it's way, but on the Wonder Woman rumour. Let me just say... Bring it.

'Man of Steel' Writer David S. Goyer Signs Three Year Deal at Warner Bros.

The main writer of the Dark Knight trilogy and Man Of Steel, David S. Goyer, has signed a three-year deal at Warner Bros. for the studio for new projects between now and 2016 or 2017. Ok... nerdgasm. There. Done.

The guys over at Deadline have reported that Goyer’s Phantom Four will kick the deal off with “an untitled Hitchockian thriller with a grounded sci-fi element that Doug Jung is writing as a potential directing vehicle for Goyer.”

“I was perfectly happy not having a deal, and just financed the overhead myself,” Goyer said of his time working on DC Entertainment properties. “Warner Bros graciously offered me a deal and they’ve provided the lion’s share of my employment over the last decade, so what the hell?”

“Aside from me helping the studio break story on some of their properties and them supporting me as a director, we want to find other projects in an area I could call elevated genre, and this first project falls neatly into the category,” the writer/producer added. “I’ve found TV to be a more collaborative medium for writers than film, and there is a ton of terrific writers working in network TV and basic cable right now. Part of the intent of this deal is to tap that stable of writers and bring them into the feature world as well.”

Goyer is in rumors to develop a Justice League film to follow Batman vs. Superman.

Ben Affleck Looking Jacked In 'Batman' Body (Pictures)

A few months ago, we reported that Ben Affleck had started his training for the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in the upcoming Batman Vs. Superman flick. Affleck who starred in such Hollywood greats as Phantoms and Pearl Harbour, was recently spotted sporting his beefed up body for his role as Batman in the highly anticipated Batman Vs. Superman film. Affleck was spotted walking around town with his daughter Violet on Friday, though the photos have found their way online just a few hours ago. Affleck looks very different in my eyes, from glancing at the photos, I feel as if Affleck is going for a Jim Lee/Arkham City sort of Batman build. Affleck has also shaved the beard that he was sporting prior to the casting as Batman, so there goes the bearded Batman jokes. You can check out the photos below!

RUMOR: Batmobile in Batman Vs Superman Possibly a Cadillac

New rumor has surfaced from Batman-On-Film.com (the same site that first reported that Warner Bros. was looking to cast an older Batman) is claiming that the new Batmobile in Batman Vs. Superman might be a Cadillac.

Their source (identified as Dr. Detroit) claims the Batmobile is being designed and built by General Motors at the GM Advanced Design Studio in North Hollywood. Well what do you know! That's the same group that built the vehicles for Transformers 4!
The source also claims the Batmobile will look nothing like the Tumbler from Christopher Nolan’s Batman movies and that an old Cadillac will be featured prominently in the movie.

Would do you guys think? I'd agree that a completely different look for the Batmobile would help separate the new film from Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.

Stan Lee Wants Cameo In Batman Vs. Superman!

    Excelsior!

At Wizard World Nashville Comic Con, Stan (The Man) Lee jokes about how Marvel films make so much money because sometimes people miss his cameos and have to go and see the film again. Lee then suggested he should be cast in a DC Comics film!

“I’ll show you why DC isn’t so smart,” said Lee. “If I were the head of DC, I would contact me and say, ‘How about doing a cameo in the next Superman movie?’ Can you imagine? Nobody would believe it. Everybody would go see it."

Well, Lee HAS defended the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman for Batman Vs Superman multiple times and has even appeared in a film with Affleck before in Kevin Smith’s Mallrats (1995). Don't see why not! What do you guys think?

Batman Vs. Superman his US theaters on July 17, 2015.
