The CW Announces Season Renewals For 'Arrow' & 'The Flash'
Today during The CW panel at the TCA's 2015 the company officially announced that Arrow starring Stephen Amell and The Flash starring Grant Gustin have both been renewed for another season. This would be the fourth season for Arrow while only the second season for The Flash. This is also good news given that the plan is at some point to have the characters crossover with CBS's Supergirl. But that has yet to be confirmed...
CW President Mark Pedowitz adds:
"Each of these series have helped define what The CW is today, a network that is home to smart, provocative, quality programming, targeting a savvy adult audience. By picking up these shows now, our executive producers can start planning next season’s storylines, and rolling these shows out throughout next season guarantees The CW will have more proven original series for our fall, midseason and summer 2016 line-ups."Other shows that have been renewed include Supernatural, The Vampire Dairies, Reign and Jane the Virgin.

'Supergirl' Crossing Over to 'Arrow' or 'The Flash' is in Showrunner Greg Berlanti's Contract
At first glace a TV Show about Supergirl never seemed interesting at all (Then DC announced Krypton for Syfy) but at second glance it might be genius. Showrunner Greg Berlanti is forbidden to use the big three in any of his DC tv shows like Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman so it seems he is developing his own "trinity" on the small screen. It has been revealed that even though Supergirl will debut on CBS Greg Berlanti has it written in his contract that she may crossover to The CW's Arrow or Flash. This is because Time Warner (subsidiary of Warner Brothers) owns both The CW and CBS which would allow this type of crossover. Unfortunately they obviously do not own NBC or FOX which would explain why we can never see characters from Gotham or Constantine on Arrow.
Another great thing about this type of crossover would be that the "Arrow-verse" will finally get a "Superman" type character without it actually being Superman. Currently casting is underway for his Supergirl but it should be announced shortly. The question still remains if Titans on TNT will also be allowed to crossover since it to is owned by WB. It is also not even on network television which means it won't be stealing viewership from the other DC shows...beside Krypton. But that show is not being run by Greg Berlnati like these three so it might be s stretch to see Nightwing up there.

Marc Guggenheim discusses RA'S AL GHUL, ARROW finale.
Arrow's fall finale, broadcast later this week, will feature a clash beween Ra's Al Ghul, played by Matt Nable, and Oliver Queen, played by Stephen Amell.
In an interview with Access Hollywood, executive producer Marc Guggenheim spoke about utilizing the Batman villain and how, after episode 9, the show will never be the same.

Showrunner Greg Berlanti Teases That 'Supergirl' Will Crossover With 'Arrow'
In the most recent issue of Entertainment Weekly (via KSiteTV) a section will be dedicated to The Flash, Arrow and upcoming Supergirl showrunner Greg Berlanti. In it the discuss his comic book shows, his failed Green Lantern movie and other projects he is over seeing. In his discussions about CBS's Supergirl he teases that Supergirl may indeed be set within the Arrow-verse alongside Stephen Amell's Arrow and Grant Gustin's The Flash:
Later in the afternoon at his other office on the Warner Bros. lot, Berlanti meets with fellow producer Ali Adler and Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood to go over looks for their upcoming revamp of Supergirl. The show will follow 24-year-old Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, and with a twist that that could melt fanboy brains, Berlanti says it's possible this Supergirl could enter the worlds of Arrow and The Flash.This actually make's perfect sense since the Man of Steel will never appear on television the Girl of Steel would be a perfect replacement. The question is will the Teen Titans TV Show that is headed to TNT and not run by Greg Berlanti be set within the Arrow-verse?!

'The Flash vs. Arrow' Crossover Event Trailer [HD]
After tonight's brand new episode of The Flash a new promo was released for next week's two-night event "The Flash vs Arrow". The first part will have the duo come to blows Tuesday night December 2nd when Barry's mind gets taken over. The second part will debut Wednesday night December 3rd and will have them team up in the episode "The Brave and the Bold"
Barry (Grant Gustin) is thrilled when Oliver (guest star Stephen Amell), Felicity (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) and Diggle (guest star David Ramsey) come to Central City to investigate a case involving a deadly boomerang. Excited about teaming up with his friend, Barry asks Oliver if he’d like to help him stop Ray Bivolo (guest star Patrick Sabongui), the meta-human Barry is currently tracking. Bivolo causes people to lose control of their emotions and has been using that skill to rob banks. Unfortunately, the superhero partnership doesn’t go as smoothly as Barry expected. When Oliver tells Barry he still has a lot to learn, Barry sets out to prove him wrong by attempting to stop Bivolo alone. However, when Bivolo infects Barry and sets him on a rage rampage, everyone is in danger, and the only one who can stop him is the Arrow. Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) is furious when Eddie (Rick Cosnett) tries to get a task force to stop The Flash, Joe and Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) agree the Arrow is a bad influence on Barry, and Caitlin and Cisco deal with a new team in S.T.A.R. Labs.

FIRST LOOK: Laurel Finally Dons Her 'Black Canary' Costume
The third season of Arrow started off with a bang with Sara Lance being murdered by a still unknown assailant. This led her sister Laurel Lance to take up boxing & self-defense classes with a past vigilante. Well now it has been revealed that she will finally become the "second" Black Canary in the 10th episode of Arrow titled Left Behind:

To the Fans of The Arrow and FLASH
Dear Readers of Superhero Movie News,
I’m writing to let you know that I am changing my focus for the episode reviews of the CW’s “The FLASH” and “ARROW.” Where I was previously writing with a description of each scene I will now be writing with a focus on only the major plot points and an overall analysis of the character development happening in the episodes.
Why am I doing that? Glad you asked!
First I must admit that I have a crapload of time constraints in my life right now. It’s simply not working out to spend 4-6 hours a week in the writing of something that isn’t getting me my degree. I have papers due which need that time.
Secondly I feel that there are already plenty of other websites out there which already do that same thing. So if you want a scene-by-scene recap you can get one easy as pie.
Thirdly, and most importantly, I feel that I am not writing with my own voice as I should be. I want my personal style to shine through in these episode reviews and that’s not really happening right now.
So how will this change up the episode reviews? Well it will make them shorter! And yet all the juicy bits will still be there. You’ll know all about the major “aha!” moments, the character/relationship developments, and the foreshadowing which is occurring in each episode.
You’ll stay up to date on the nefarious Dr. Wells from the future and what he’s all about, what Atom might be getting himself into, and all the heartbreak which the CW is known for. Plus you will get a dose of humor because that’s what this is all about – entertainment.

We begin this episode in great anticipation of the encounter between Thea and Oliver. We first get a glimpse of the exchange between Thea and Malcolm Merlyn when she left Starling City 5 months ago. It’s clear that Thea has some talents which she hasn’t been fully utilizing.
Then it’s on to one of the sub-plots. Oliver tracks down the individual whose fingerprint was on the green glass he found where Sara was murdered. After a short chase and quick interrogation Oliver realizes the lead is a dead end.
But not all is lost to Oliver as Felicity has located Thea in Corto Maltese. Oliver and Roy get ready to go get back Thea! I’m sure they think it will all be cake and laughs too.
Meanwhile, Lyla asks Diggle to go to Corto Maltese with Oliver as she has a field operative, named Shaw, who has “gone dark” in Corto Maltese. How fortuitous! Diggle accepts as he’s not expected to be doing much – simply making sure Shaw is OK.
Then we see some more flashbacks to Thea’s training with Malcolm. He tells her about how some Buddhist monks believed the first fight begins in the mind and that she must learn to accept pain, but reject suffering. He plans to teach her how to do this by pouring hot oil over her hand. She’s understandably not very fond of the idea.
Oliver lands in Corto Maltese and goes off to see Thea. Upon finding her to not be at her supposed home he learns from a groundskeeper that she might be at her day job waiting tables. Why she is waiting tables is beyond me…maybe to learn the culture and language better? In any case, Oliver avoided getting shot by an arrow that was waiting for him from the end of Malcolm’s bow. So I guess that’s a plus.
Thea is surprised but happy to see Oliver when he approaches her at work. After a short bit of dialogue she repeats her affirmation: she is NEVER going back to Starling City. Oliver is understandably dejected.
So, while he tries to think about how to persuade her to come home, Oliver goes off to help Diggle with checking up on Shaw. The encounter is supposed to be very straightforward and friendly. But Shaw pulls a knife and almost slices Diggle open. Luckily he’s been training with Oliver.
Shaw confirms Diggle’s identity and then tells him that they need to go stop the sale of Argus’ list of agents and their families. Diggle takes off with Shaw to stop the sale. But something doesn’t smell right. Diggle guesses that something is up and that Shaw is actually up to no good. But not quite in time as Shaw tazers Diggle, shoots at Oliver who is waiting as backup, and takes the transcoder stick from Diggle’s pocket before making his getaway.
Roy gets his chance to talk to Thea also. They share a moment where he confesses he just wants her to be happy. And if that means that she stays in Corto Maltese, then so be it. We see that Malcolm is keeping an eye on his daughter from the shadows though and looks none too pleased with her interaction with Roy.

And then a flashback to Thea’s training. Malcolm tells Thea that he must train her the same way he was trained – and then promptly hits her in the face. She must have a face of steel though because she doesn’t start bleeding or anything. Thea does show her war face however.
The guys contact Felicity for help in tracking Shaw down. This of course happens right as she is in a meeting with her new boss, Ray Palmer. He’s quite shocked as she gets phone call after phone call with mysterious undertones talking about finding people. She’s embarrassed as usual.
Laurel is angry with the death of her sister and everything and decides that a good way to get out her aggression is to try and beat up a guy who likes to beat his girlfriend. This does not go over very well for her and she gets her face pummeled quite soundly. Her face, it turns out, is not steel.
Then we see Laurel in the hospital and sense that she is starting to go into a deep, dark place. She’s had it with the injustice of the world. Who knows what she’s going to do next… Five bucks says she’s going to learn how to fight and try to take Sara’s place.
Oliver has one more meeting with Thea. He discloses that, yes, he’s been keeping secrets. Thea is still adamant that she will love him as her big brother no matter what. She’s just pissed that he didn’t tell her who her father was. That’s when Oliver tells her the truth of how their dad, Robert, died and pleads with her to come home even going so far as to say that he needs her. He then leaves to go help Diggle.
The team is set up to intercept Shaw as the deal is going down. But fate intervenes as a heavily armed group of men shows up and spoils the plans. A big fight ensues and we get to see that Oliver is actually an amazing shot with a pistol as well. It seems he learned some other things from his time working with Waller in Hong Kong. After a solid fight the day is won and the group gets the data back.
Thea tells Malcolm that she would like to go home. He says he thought she was past all of that and that maybe she’s not ready. A sword fight ensues between the two, because how else would you settle such things, with Thea apparently winning. She suspects that Malcolm let her win, however, and he ominously states that he’ll see her soon.
Thea meets the group for the plane back home and everyone is happy. That is until Oliver gets home to a waiting Laurel. She asks him to train her but he refuses. She’s not happy about that.
Upon entering his hideout under Verdant, Oliver and Roy have a conversation about Thea. Oliver thinks that something is off with Thea and that she seems a little different. The conversation is cut short, however, as Sara’s lover and fellow assassin, Nyssa, cuts into the scene with a bow aimed at Oliver and demanding to know where Sara is.

This should make for an interesting conversation in the next episode…
P.S. – I absolutely love Katrina Law as Nyssa. She’s exotic looking like Nyssa should be, talented, and crazy beautiful. I loved her in Sparticus as well and can’t wait to see where her career takes her.

The question of this day in age in comic film or TV adaptions is are they all connected? Marvel has done it first literally connecting their movies with television and soon netflix shows like Daredevil all into one massive shared universe. So the question remained will DC do the same thing? This is something that has plagued DC fans since Arrow lit up the small screen on The CW. Will Stephen Amell's Arrow ever meet up with Henry Cavill's Superman? Well at this past year's Comic-Con it seemed DC head Geoff Johns put that theory to rest that Arrow & it's spin-off show The Flash are in a separate universe than Henry Cavill and Ben Afflecks Batman & Superman. But was he lying? He was and he wasn't.
Today, Geoff Johns spoke with BuzzFeed to confirm that DC is trying to actual create a cinematic multiverse!
“We look at it as the multiverse. We have our TV universe and our film universe, but they all co-exist. For us, creatively, it’s about allowing everyone to make the best possible product, to tell the best story, to do the best world. Everyone has a vision and you really want to let the visions shine through. I think the characters are iconic enough. I like [Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.] a lot. I love what Marvel does. I’m a huge fan. It’s just a different approach.”Now for some of you who don't know DC had a multiverse with multiple "earths". That means one superhero may live their whole life in one universe and have a slightly different version on the second earth. Or one superhero maybe one person on Earth-1 but on Earth-2 the mantle is taken up by someone else like Jay Garrick & Barry Allen both being The Flash. And The Flash is the one who first learns of the multiverse....Which is also teased at the end of The Flash pilot episode.
Now if DC can actually pull off doing a multiverse that means while the TV & Film universe are connected they are separate at the same time. What ever happens on film won't dictate what happens on TV and vice-versa. So the writers still have creative freedom and aren't held down by each others contradicting storylines. That is until DC finally pulls out their wild card and does a Crisis on Infinite Earths movie which will have all the universes collide into one another. But this type of massive movie is obviously far down the line for DC...
So as far as we know we have the Man of Steel Universe, the Arrow-Verse and last week Sandman creator Neil Gaiman mentions DC has yet to announce a slate of Vertigo Universe movies that are coming out like Sandman or Justice League: Dark which would give us a third universe. It's unknown where Gotham, Constantine, Lucifer, Teen Titans, Supergirl, or Static Shock fit within these universes or others.
Lastly, he adds that maybe one day they will have a crossover but not anytime soon...
"There’s been discussions over the years for both, obviously. You never say never. Maybe one day we’ll link a show to a film if it makes sense, but the creative process we’re going through right now is to let the stuff live and breathe and be its own thing and own it."

ARROW: “Sara” Episode Review

The episode starts off where the previous one left off – with Sara dead in Laurel’s arms. Oliver, Roy, and Felicity walk into their secret lair where they are stunned to find Laurel with a dead Sara on their table. I love this scene as the cast captures the feeling of the moment perfectly. They range in emotion from disbelief, to denial, and even grim resolve.
Of course the team is ready to go into action in short order. Oliver is the bastion of the team and, although visibly angry and shaken, he keeps his cool and gets the team into action. Step one: try to figure out who murdered Sara.
Oliver goes to the scene of the crime to investigate. While there he has a conversation with Diggle about how he’s feeling. After a short dialogue where Diggle relates how he understands what Oliver is going through because he’s seen it in war, Diggle simply tells Oliver that he’s there to help. Oliver, being the kind of man he is, says nothing.
Oliver gets a phone call to meet Detective (now Captain) Lance. He gives Oliver a file about a murder that happened earlier involving another archer. Oliver, armed with new information, is on the move. But not before the archer can kill another victim.
We get to see a touching scene between Felicity and Roy as Felicity reminisces about Sara. Shortly thereafter the team gets set into motion to utilize all their resources, including ARGUS and their intelligence database.
Oliver continues to be concerned about Thea. Meanwhile, Roy is showing his own concern by trying to utilize the FBI database to locate Thea. Roy confesses to the truth and shows Felicity the note which Thea left when she took off at the end of season 2. The scene ends with Felicity storming off very angrily after a text.
This leads into the next scene of Felicity barging into Queen consolidated to confront her stalker, new Queen Consolidated CEO Ray Palmer. He and Felicity share an interesting exchange and you can see that her wall against him, although strong, may be coming down due to his empathy.
When Oliver gets some information from a low level drug-dealer the team is able to figure out who the enemy is – Simon Lacroix aka- Komodo. Using the information about the Komodo Felicity is able to track him using his cell phone. Damn she’s good.

This leads to Oliver interrupting his latest assassination attempt. A short archer motorcycle duel later and we find out that the Komodo is seemingly better than Oliver. At least when it comes to archer duels on motorcycles.
Felicity and Oliver share a moment where Oliver shows just how much the whole situation has gotten to him. And Felicity shows how she feels as well by telling Oliver that she wants more out of life than just the “hole in the ground” before she walks out.
Laurel figures that she can help by using her District Attorney credentials to interrogate this most recent victim of the Komodo. She finds out the link between the three individuals is that they were all working on a business deal together. But Komodo strikes again and kills the man Laurel is interrogating before she can get all the information out of him.
But not all is lost! The information which Laurel got out of the victim is enough to figure out who the next target is. And it’s a wealthy businessman who is headed to Ray Palmer’s fundraiser at Queen Consolidated.
The Komodo strikes, a fight ensues, and Oliver wins the archer duel this time. Hooray! But then he has to deal with Laurel pointing a gun at Komodo…she wants vengeance for the murder of her sister and she aims to get it. But Oliver already planned for this back at the lair and took the bullets out of the pistol. So even though Laurel disappoints Oliver by pulling the trigger, nothing happens.
One more tidbit is given out by Komodo as he stands stuck to the wall by an arrow is that he claims to not have killed Sara! He even claims an alibi which later checks out. By the way, I’m curious as to how the arrow doesn’t kill him given that it seems to at least have pierced his lung and probably his heart as well. After all, it was one of Komodo’s arrows which Oliver caught out of the air and then shot back at him so it must have had a real arrowhead and not some tech gizmo arrowhead. Kind of makes you wonder…
But we can just stack that onto the list of things that make us go “hmmm” along with the question of who killed Sara. Meanwhile the group all deals with the aftermath of Sara’s death in their own ways. One of the interesting developments is that Felicity decides she will work for Ray Palmer after all. She cites the reason for doing so is because she wants more out of life – the same thing she told Oliver.
Along the way through this episode we are given flashbacks to Oliver’s time in Hong Kong under the house arrest of Waller. Oliver is tasked with killing Tommy Merlyn, his best friend. He of course can’t go through with it and instead has to find an alternative to getting Tommy out of town. Oliver takes the more “Mission Impossible” style route and convinces Tommy that Oliver’s email going off was all a scam to kidnap a rich person for ransom. Tommy is “saved” just after being scared almost to death.
And at the end of the episode we are given a great scene – taken to Corto Maltese we see a kendo training session. It’s two against one and the team of two is getting their butts whipped. When the match is over we see Malcolm Merlyn applauding proudly for Thea’s performance. He congratulates her and she replies, quite ominously, “thanks dad.”
I’m looking forward to the next episode where Oliver and the team go after Thea. I can’t wait to see the look on his face when he realizes that Merlyn is still alive and that Thea is training under him.
Side-note: For those of you that aren’t well versed in the DC Universe, Ray Palmer is a reference to the DC superhero “Atom.” He’s a superhero who can shrink himself at will and alter the density of his own body. He’s one of the world’s smartest people and a renowned physicist. I wonder what they are planning for him in the show…

Arrow Season 3 Premiere "The Calm" Review

Arrow starts off season three with a bang for sure. This episode gives us action, love drama, and intrigue. It’s a classic CW formula.
The episode begins with the Arrow and his team already in action. They are rushing to take down an arms shipment. It’s in this scene that we see Roy has taken a more active role in the group. With a little coordination and only a little effort the team takes down the weapons shipment.
Shortly thereafter we are given an overview of the way things are following the events of the season two finale. Oliver is broke and no longer owns his company, Diggle is soon to be a father, Roy is a full-fledged member of the team even looking like a “Red Arrow” type of character, and Felicity has a regular job which she hates. We also see that the relationship between Oliver and Felicity is blossoming into a potential romantic relationship.
In fact, it is this episode where we get to see Oliver and Felicity finally take a step towards a real romantic relationship. Oliver asks Felicity out on a regular date which seems to start off fine – until the criminal who has taken up the mantle of Vertigo, Werner Zytle, shoots an RPG into the restaurant where they are having their date.
It turns out that the drug Vertigo is still on the streets and the arms shipment which was taken down by the Arrow and his team was meant for Zytle. Now Zytle, as the new Vertigo, has his sets set on taking over the criminal underworld and is using his newly improved formula of Vertigo to help him. And first on his to-do list is taking out the Arrow, which he tries to do by having a thug plant a tracking device on the Arrow just before Oliver ended up going on his date.
Needless to say, Felicity gets hurt and Oliver has feelings of regret and blames himself for her injury. Even though she is only knocked out, Oliver takes it really hard. He states that he wasn’t focused and should have noticed the guy plant the tracker on him. Diggle tries to talk him out of the decision to end the relationship before it begins, but Oliver won’t listen.
Thus the tension between Oliver and Felicity continues as he breaks it off with her in a very wishy-washy manner. Felicity says for him to stop dangling maybe and just say never! Oliver kisses her and tells her not to ask him to say he doesn’t love her. Felicity is upset and tells him that “I told you as soon as we talked, it would be over.” And like that, their relationship ends before it begins.
But all that is after Oliver tries and fails to get his company back from the current board of trustees. A new player in the game, tech savvy Ray Palmer, shows up and makes a counter-presentation to the board which wows everyone present. Needless to say, Ray is given the company.
Thus begins the tension triangle which is ever-present in the show. Ray Palmer has taken an interest in Felicity. She is annoyed at Ray for having manipulated her into helping him get encrypted data from Queen Consolidated which helped him win over the board. Oliver still wants to be with Felicity, but is self-sacrificing and thinks being with her would be dangerous and selfish so he refuses to get involved.
It’s the typical CW Hero who, while fun to watch and brave against any bad guy or evil doer, is completely afraid of their own happiness. It’s actually frustrating to watch the unrequited love that is such a constant in these shows. And yet it keeps us hooked so well, hoping that they can overcome the odds and just be together in the end.
The episode ends with some action as Oliver and Roy take down Zytle and foil his plan to blow up a stadium - part of a plan to take out three crime bosses and leave him at the top of the underworld. The episode also ends with joy and new beginnings as Diggle is shown to have become a daddy while Oliver was taking down Zytle. And finally, it ends in tragedy as Sarah Lance, back in town to see her hospitalized father (or so we are somewhat lead to believe), is killed by a mysterious off-screen archer – shot three times and then falls from a roof to land right in front of her sister Laurel whom she had just met with.
The plot thickens for sure. Who is this mysterious archer? Was it Merlyn or someone else? And who is Ray Palmer and what are his real plans for Oliver and Queen Consolidated? And of course, who will try to destroy the city this season?
I know I’m excited. I hope you are too!

Today, Newsarama caught up with the president of The CW Mark Pedowitz to talk about the upcoming season of their two DC shows The Flash as well as Arrow. The President goes onto specifically tease that TNT's upcoming Titans may directly be connected to Arrow and The Flash. This would be a stroke of genius given Manu Bennett's Deathstroke is the main protagonist of the Titans for years as well as have Wally West eventually appear on Titans and also Colton Haynes Arsenal.
And while the president didn't mention Arrow showrunners Greg Berlanti other superhero show Supergirl the site goes onto claim that maybe a possibility as well since she will be given a new origin story.But her inclusion has yet to be confirmed in the Arrow-verse...
They do once again go onto say FOX's Gotham or NBC's Constatine won't be connected to the other shows and will be set within their own respective universes.

Brandon Routh Will Get His 'Atom' Costume on 'Arrow'
Brandon Routh was announced several months back to play Ray Palmer on the CW's Arrow TV Series. Many who don't know Ray Palmer is known as the Justice Leaguer 'The Atom'. Well, while speaking on The DJ Turner Show actor Brandon Routh reveals that while he has yet to put on the costume for The Atom he has seen some concept images:
"It's a totally different suit and I haven't been in it yet, I've only seen drawings, It's a very different character and I really can't say too much about what the suit's going to look like - just that it's very different and I don't believe it has a cape, which doesn't really surprise anybody if you've seen The Atom in the comics."The actor goes onto talk about working with Emily Bett Rickards on the show and as well as working on Bryan Singers Superman Returns. 'Captain Boomerang' Is About To Swing onto 'Arrow'
Today, Entertainment Weekly announced that longtime Flash villain Captain Boomerang is expected to make his live-action debut on The CW's Arrow TV Series. He will once again be played by a Spartacus alum in Nick Tarabay. He will debut on episode 7 then epsiode 8 which will be the big crossover with The Flash. They go onto describe the crazy Aussie as an old A.R.G.U.S. operative:
"Harkness will be a former A.R.G.U.S operative, highly skilled in martial arts and espionage, with a deadly thirst for vengeance against his former employers."

'Arrow' Star Stephen Amell Wants 'Green Lantern' To Appear In The "Arrow-Verse"
Now Green Lantern has been a talk on Arrow since season one when Ferris Air first made its appearance. Their have been talk that Oliver Queens trusty friend John Diggle could possibly be the future Green Lantern known as John Stewart but in the service his friends simply called him "Diggle" thus the name stuck. Well, either way Arrow star himself Stephen Amell hopes Green Lantern either John Stewart or Hal Jordan to appear on the show! While speaking with Comic Book Resources the actor first goes into claiming Arrow is creating it's own "Justice League" and doesn't need to crossover over into the cinematic universe:
"We are creating our own Justice League on TV for us. I don't think there is a logistical reality to us participating in the feature side. That being said, I never wanted to have to feel like the show was justified, just because we participated in the movie. I don't think my character would participate on the cinematic side. What's that saying? Is it six seasons and a movie? Our show right now has me, Arsenal, Flash. There's going to be Firestorm and Atom. The Justice League elements of it are very present on our shows ['Arrow' and 'The Flash'] already."He then goes onto talk about how he knew his cousin Robbie Amell was going to get the gig on The Flash show as Firestorm:
"[Greg Berlanti] told me about Robbie and Firestorm about two months before Robbie knew about it. Robbie texts me and goes, 'I GOT A JOB ON 'THE FLASH!'' All capitals and exclamation marks. I wrote back, 'I know,' and then welcomed him to the Justice League of America. Robbie and I, for being in the same business, the only time we've ever teamed up is in beer pong. We've never actually teamed up on screen together. I think eventually there's a chance that Oliver Queen and Mr. Firestorm may cross paths."Then lastly says that he would love for Green Lantern to appear on TV even though it is probably prohibited by the higher ups at WB "Now, boy we've referenced Ferris Air a lot. It would be really cool to have Green Lantern. Hopefully, that happens. I have no inside information, unless I do."

Matt Nable Joins 'Arrow' as The Demon Head Himself 'Ra's al Ghul'
Recently the original Ra's al Ghul Liam Nesson spoke with MTV about his love for the character and would return to it in a heart beat. But since The Dark Knight triolgy is over he may never get his chance. Well, Arrow and The CW put out a casting call looking for their own Ra's al Ghul and it seems they find it in Riddick star Matt Nable! He will first appear in episode 4 of the new season....

Nolan Funk joins ARROW cast
Arrow has added Nolan Funk in its ever expanding cast.
The actor has been cast as the hacker ex-boyfriend of the Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) character. He will appear in the fifth episode of the series' new season, titled "The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak."
It is unclear if the character will appear in flashbacks or the present day, and it is also unknown if the character will be recurring.
The actor is one of many additions to the shows third season, including Brandon Routh as the Atom, J.R. Ramirez as Wildcat, and Charlotte Ross as Felicity's mother.
The third season of Arrow is set to premier on Wednesday Oct. 8 on the CW.

ARROW casts Matt Ward as KOMODO
Matt Ward, of Tron Legacy and Hellcats, has been cast as the villainous Simon Lacroix, otherwise known as Komodo.
In the comics, Komodo is the evil opposite of Green Arrow, looking to put an arrow in the Emerald Archer. On Arrow, he will be a mercenary, wreaking havoc in Starling city. His introduction coincides with Arrow makes a move to tie in the myriad of villains to a larger, overarching story. So, if you're a fan, start paying attention. It's about to get interesting.

ARROW Producer Andrew Kreisberg on the Future of HARLEY QUINN
On the last season of The CW's Arrow, a brief cameo appearance by Harley Quinn, the jokers lovestruck helper, made waves. Played pitch perfect by Cassidy Alexa, with the voice provided by Tara Strong, speculation and hype ran rampant. Would Arrow connect with Batman lore? Would Harley appear in the Suicide Squad?
You should hold your forces, folks, because it looks like Warner Brothers might have other plans for her. In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Arrow producer Andrew Kreisburg was uncertain about her future.
"I don't know if we'll see Harley again. There are very few things we've asked DC Comics for that we haven't gotten. That was something you asked for, and what you saw is a compromise that that Geoff Johns and I came up with. To even get that much was a thrill for us. I know that they may have other plans for her, but it was certainly and Easter egg that thrilled us. But the Suicide Squad will definitely be back. Whether we see the 'deranged female killer' we saw before, we'll have to wait and see."
Those other plans are shrouded in mystery. A Suicide Squad movie could happen, and an appearance by Harley in a solo Batman movie could absolutely happen, but with the next Batman flick including Superman and members of the Justice League, a smaller scale villain like Harley might be out of place. Still, with her ever growing popularity, Harley Quinn will undoubtedly appear on the big screen soon.
