Several days ago The Amazing Spider-Man 2 co-writer Roberto Orci told IGN that he will not be returning to write The Amazing Spider-Man 3 (After publicly confirming his split from longtime co-writer Alex Kutzman) and even going onto say he doesn't know where the franchise is headed:

“I don’t know what their plans are for that franchise. I don’t ever want to say never, but we have to figure out what their scheduling is in terms of when they want each movie. I’ve read probably as much as anyone else. There’s a love for the Sinister Six, the idea of Venom — there’s an idea Spider-Man’s going to be one of these characters that’s part of our business. He’s such a popular character. Spider-Man’s not going to go away any time soon. When it all happens and how and all that has yet to be determined.”

Now while everything is "yet to be determined"  remember that The Sinister Six attached director Drew Goddard recently stepped down as showrunner of Marvel's Daredevil to exclusively work on The Sinister Six. Now while this isn't confirmed it seems entirely possible that Sony will move Sinister Six release date ahead of The Amazing Spider-Man 3. This all coming off of the rumor Ain't It Cool News heard that Spidey 3 won't happen before 2017

A few months ago B.J Novak (Inglorious Bastards) revealed that he is in Marc Webbs upcoming superhero sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2. His role was a secret. Some thought he may be secretly Doc Ock but he has been revealed as Alistair Smythe aka The Spider Slayer!

That's right today it was confirmed that Marvel and James Gunn's upcoming space epic Guardians of the Galaxy is going to have its first footage shown at the Super Bowl. We may get our first look at Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon and Vin Diesel as GROOT! We will also get a TV Spot for Sony's The Amazing Spider-Man 2!

The ads also include Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Transformers: Age of Extinction amongst others. More names may come forth with ads but for not this is it. Unfortunate we don't know of X-Men: Days of Future Past or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will receive the TV Spot treatment. Again more may be announced...

Today The Huffington Post dropped an interview with Inglorious Bastards and The Office star B.J Novak. He doesn't say much about his role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 but does hint he works for Oscorp and IS in the comics:

"I'm in a couple of scenes. Yeah, I was never told whether or not I could say. I can say that I work at Oscorp. And I am someone from the comic books, someone from the original. So, yeah, I'm somebody. I wouldn't say I'm pivotal, but I'm not an extra, either."

My first guess is he could be a younger Otto Octavius who we all know will show up in The Amazing Spider-Man 3 as Doc Ock. But who really knows....

Thanks to the good eye of @AverageCharles from Think McFly Think we have what seems to be Vultures Wings and Doc Ock Tentacles Easter Eggs that was in the leaked Russian trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2! Now if this scene will be in the official trailer in two days remains to be seen but if an HD version comes out of this scene we will be sure to post it:

This does seem to confirm the Sinster Six are coming to the big screen for the very first time! 6 villains against 1 Spidey....that sounds a little crazy. This also may confirm the rumor that Colm Feore rumor from a couple months ago as Vulture.
