In April this year, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 swung into theatres and grossed over $700 million worldwide. While becoming the lowest grossing film in the franchise, the film still managed to make over $500 million overseas, making it the second highest grossing Spider-Man film overseas, just behind Spider-Man 3. Following Sony's "disappointment" in the sequel's performance, it was revealed that Drew Goddard's Sinister Six film had been moved up to November 2016, seemingly replacing The Amazing Spider-Man 3.
The Toronto Sun were lucky enough to check out Spider-Man star, Andrew Garfield's latest film 99 Homes in which he stars as a man who is evicted from his home by a greedy real estate agent. Garfield spilled some small details regarding 2016's Sinister Six revealing that, like many of us, he is "Really excited about Drew Goddard... And whether I'm apart of that or not is immaterial." If that cock-tease wasn't enough, Garfield went on to say "I don't know if I should say anything right now, but [Drew] Goddard is really exciting."
Before concluding the interview, Andrew revealed a little something to get the fans even more excited for the villain team-up. Saying, "I know more than I'm allowed to say right now." Garfield also promised the film would be filled with "twists" much like Goddard's debut feature, Cabin In The Woods. Andrew concluded the interview by touching on the twist section, saying "Hence, me not telling you s--t about that."
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is out now on Blu-Ray and DVD combo pack!

With its release date coming ever so quickly, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has easily become the must see movie of the summer. It is to no surprise that 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man was nowhere near as good as it really could have been, as both Marc Webb and Sony producers have said they should have done something a little more different. But alas, we have the much anticipated sequel, set to hit theatres everywhere on April 17th if you live in Australia and if you don't, sucked in.
Earlier this week IGN sat down with Andrew Garfield to discuss the film and how different it is to its' predecessor. Garfield touched on the original film's unoriginality by saying, "Obviously with the first film we were obligated to retreading the origin story, which Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire did so beautifully," Garfield continued, "But now that's done, and now we get to own the character as filmmakers and as Peter, you know what I mean? I'm super excited, I mean it was much more fun to make because of that, I think." Following these thoughts Garfield interestingly said something that every Spider-Man fan has been saying ever since Garfield's first outing, "Screw the critics... I mean screw the scrutiny and that's the motto of life aswell. If there was one bit of advise I could give to my younger self, it's 'don't care what others think of you'."
Mr Garfield also touched on Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) and Peter Parker's friendship in the film. Garfield said, "The bond is really deep. It goes deeper than being childhood friends. There is this intertwined thing that they have after they both lost their parents," The Golden Globe nominated actor continued, "Their relationship is really built on abandonment and this lack of a father figure is what leads to them having compassion and understanding for each other. It's a complicated relationship, but it's a grounded one."
You can check out the full interview in the video below. Andrew Garfield and his on and off screen love, Emma Stone, will appear on The Graham Norton Show on April 11th on BBC 1.

While promoting The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise Of Electro in my homeland of Australia, stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone got to discuss teenage romance and the idea of stalking. Evident in the first film, Garfield's Peter Parker really loves Gwen Stacy, while his love for her may be deemed a little creepy (having her on his Sony desktop computer really doesn't help) it is evident that he really does love the girl. In the days of social networking and such, it is fairly common to be going on a 'Facebook stalk' and so I'm going to let this stalking thing slide, considering Spider-Man himself did in fact create Facebook with Lex Luthor.
Talking to Alison Stephenson of News.com.au, Garfield and Stone discussed the film in a rather light way, shining lights on the more intimate moments of the film. When asked how Andrew made Peter's stalking of Gwen seem so "charming," Garfield had to say, "I don't know if I did succeed - I think it may just be you that feels that way." When Garfield's real life girlfriend was asked the same question, Miss Stone replied with, "I don't think I should be validating stalkers, but I don't think he actually is stalking her, I think he's just trying to protect her."
Garfield was soon asked how he feels Peter views Gwen in this film, following their relationship in the first film. Garfield said, "Everything in his [Peter's] head is saying, 'you can't, you can't, you can't' but everything in your heart and body is going 'I know, I have no choice' but it is, it just has to be."

New THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Featurette Released
Sony Pictures have revealed a brand new featurette for this summer's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The new featurette, clocking in at 2 minutes, features a ton of new footage focussing on Peter and Gwen's relationship. Revealing that Gwen has some secrets of her own, this new video may spoil very small things about the new film, but as a whole, I would say it doesn't spoil anything that we did not already know. *Peter Parker is Spider-Man* Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest. You can check out the new video below, or you can check it out on The Daily Mail
