RUMOR: Will Sony Just Reboot 'Spider-Man' Once Again and Recast? 'Venom' Movie Dead

This is yet another rumor surrounding the future of Spider-Man. We already got word that Sony maybe reaching out to Marvel to incorporate the web-slinger in the overall Marvel Cinematic Universe. But now Badass Digest claims that this is a rumor they have heard amongst two others:
    - Sony is going to soft reboot Spider-Man with The Sinister Six, having a new actor playing a Spidey who works with the villains The Dirty Dozen style to take down a larger threat.

    - Sony is going to put Spider-Man on the shelf for four or five years and see if they can develop any of the side characters into their own franchises.
They say that any three of these rumors could be true or none of them are true. Fact of the matter is Sony really has no idea what it wants to do after the critical panning that was The Amazing Spider-Man 2. But one thing we all can agree on was that Andrew Garfield was absolulty not the problem with the already rebooted Spider-Man films. He is actually a highlight alongside his real life girlfriend Emma Stone. So hopefully if Marvel does actual get the rights back to Spider-Man they bring Andrew Garfield back as the web-slinger!

Lastly, the website goes onto claim Alex Kurtzman's upcoming Venom spin-off film is once again dead...but this has yet to be confirmed.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is on DVD & Blu-Ray Today!
