Jeff Nichols and Noam Murro Being Eyed To Helm 'Aquaman'; Karl Urban as Ocean Master?

Any news on the Aquaman front has been minimal at best. After almost a year of denials DC Comics finally announced that Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa will indeed play the King of the Seven Seas Arthur Curry. Well, Latino-Review has a scoop regarding which director might helm the project. According to their soruces Mud director Jeff Nichols is being eyed for the project along with 300: Rise of an Empire director Noam Murro. It should be pointed out that even though the 300 sequel was Noam Murro's first feature film; he has a direct connection with Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder thanks to that film. This would mean he is more inclined to direct this DC film...Oh, did we mention the 300: Rise of an Empire screenwriter is also penning one version of the Aquaman script? Noam Murro was also on our DC Universe director list for Aquaman back last year. So how long before we can get Philip Lord & Chris Miller to direct The Flash?!

Lastly, the website goes onto reveal that Karl Urban might by eyed for an unspecified villain role. Could he be cast as Arthur Curry's half brother Orm?! That would definitely differentiated the comparison the two might get from Marvel's Thor and Loki.

Aquaman is set to hit theaters in 2018
