'Arrow' Star Stephen Amell Denies 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Role

Late last year Stephen Amell took to his Facebook and posted several comic covers clearly stating "Green Arrow and the Justice League" many took this as a cryptic hint that Stephen Amell may crossover from TV on The CW's hit show Arrow to film as Green Arrow in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Since then Amell has taken to his Facebook yet again to debunk these fan rumors once and for all:

What's upsetting is most consider Stephen Amell at the level of acting to stand beside Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck. One of the main reasons some might think Green Arrow might appear in Batman v Superman is based on the San Diego Comic Con announcement this year. With Stephen Amell appearing on several DC panels later this month. Also, even just last year Zack Snyder said that while Batman v Superman won't be a direct adaption of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns it will draw inspiration from that. And in that graphic novel a one-armed Oliver Queen assist Batman in taking down Superman.

Never-the-less it was also a far fetched idea to have Arrow and now it's spin-off series The Flash crossover into the movie-universe anyway. But hey weirder things have happened.....remember how many times Jason Momoa denied being Aquaman?!

Lastly, he never said anything about the Justice League...

Arrow returns to The CW this Fall
