    'Spartacus' Showrunner Steven DeKnight Takes Over Marvel's 'Daredevil' TV Series


    Today Latino-Review broke the news that Cabin in the Woods director Drew Goddard  has left the upcoming Netflix series on Daredevil. Now we have more information, according to The Hollywood Reporter Drew Goddard is leaving the project to focus on Sony's Sinister Six feature film. He will hand over the reigns to friend and colleague Steven DeKnight as showrunner!

    Drew Goddard is expected to stay on as a consultant on the series though. Steven DeKnight however has worked on shows like Buffy as well as Smallville. He is most famous for showrunning Starz Spartacus TV Series.

    Marvel is proud to announce that acclaimed writer, director and producer Steven S. DeKnight ("Spartacus," "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer," "Angel") has joined "Marvel's Daredevil" as Executive Producer & Showrunner on the all-new 13-episode series premiering on Netflix in 2015. Drew Goddard, who also wrote the first two episodes, will continue to serve as Executive Producer on "Marvel"s Daredevil" as he writes and preps Sony's "The Amazing Spider-Man" spin-off film, "The Sinister Six." 
    Daredevil hits Netflix next year!
