Marvel Directors Joss Whedon & James Gunn Comment On Edgar Wright Leaving 'Ant-Man'

The world was shocked yesterday to hear that Marvel and director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead) had parted ways on their upcoming film Ant-Man after 6 years on the project. It has left many upset thinking that Marvel Studios maybe getting to involved with their directors creative choices since their fame skyrocketed. Now fellow Marvel alum directors Joss Whedon who has directed both Avengers movies and James Gunn who directed the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy has taken to their social media accounts to comment on the breakup. Joss Whedon takes more of a comical approach just posting a picture while James Gunn writes a touching status on the matter.

On the rumor side of things it sounds that it was actually Disney who intervened on Edgar Wright's script and creative process and not Marvel Studios but we may never know the full story.

Ant-Man will come out July 2015
