Even though most of this knew this for a very long time Marvel has officially announced that Doctor Strange will hit theaters November 4th, 2016. It was already revealed that horror director Scott Derrickson will direct this mystical film and just yesterday was announced (but yet confirmed by Marvel themselves) that Sherlock and Star Trek into Darkness star Benedict Cumerbatch is set to play Stephen Strange.
Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige goes onto talk about the origins of one Stephen Strange and how it will take the Marvel Cinematic Universe into another realm:
"It takes a while to work on these movies before they're ready to come to you in theaters. Doctor Stephen Strange, brilliant neurosurgeon, bit of an arrogant fellow who gets in a car accident and ruins what he thinks are the tools of his trade: his hands. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the supernatural, that involves everything from quantum mechanics to string theory. The idea of this film is to open up a whole new corner of the cinematic universe. We want to enter, through Strange, the world of parallel dimensions."Even though it was announced at Comic-Con this past July went ahead and released the title card for James Gunn Guardians of the Galaxy 2!
