We haven't heard much about FOX's upcoming cop drama Gotham. The show will not be having Batman in the series but will feature a young Detective Gordon as he battles the villains that made the city of Gotham Famous. Now HitFix caught up with FOX's Kevin Reilly who gave a small update on the show:
We see Detective Gordon, before he’s a commissioner, all the characters you know, Bruce Wayne, the Penguin, all of them. It’s Gotham teetering on the edge, and we see what makes these characters become who they are, [like] Catwoman. It’s an operatic soap that has a slightly larger-than-life quality to it.He also confirms that Bruce Wayne will be a child during this time:
…we’re playing with [age] in casting… [Bruce will be a] young boy; my guess would be somewhere around 12.He does add Batman will show up at the very end of the series. No idea if this is a 1 Season type deal or Batman was always going to show up at the end but it makes sense. The show was conceived by Bruno Heller (The Mentalist) and that Danny Cannon will direct the pilot.
#Gotham will also include origin stories for Riddler, Penguin, Joker and Cat Woman, says #Fox's Kevin Reilly #TCA14
