Well this just got random. According to Variety Michael Douglas will be playing an older Hank Pym in Marvel's Ant-Man. This means Paul Rudd will star as Scott Lang stealing the Ant-Man suit from Pym.
After winning a Golden Globe sunday for Behind the Candelabra Douglas is now our Hank Pym. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige adds:
"With Hank Pym’s rich history in the Marvel Universe, we knew we needed an actor capable of bringing the weight and stature to the role that the character deserves. We felt incredibly relieved when Michael Douglas agreed to step into the part with the charm and fortitude he brings to every character he inhabits, and couldn’t be more excited to see what he will do to bring Hank Pym to life.”This means obviously Ant-man is a passing of the torch movie with Scott Lang going onto be with The Avengers not Hank Pym.
