Jubilee and Cable Were Almost in 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'

While promoting the smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past scribe Simon Kinberg reveals some mutants that almost made it into his and director Matthew Vaughn's version of Days of Future Past after X-Men: First Class came out. Apparently they considered either fan favorites Bishop or Cable being sent to the past but ended up with Wolverine (via ComicBook.com):
“Wolverine seems like the immediate, reflex, sort of obvious person to choose, but it wasn’t for us, maybe because we’re not that smart, but Matthew Vaughn and I, who was the director at the time and with whom I developed the screenplay initially, we explored the notion of Bishop being sent back, Cable being sent back, a new character being sent back, who we could cast old and then sort of cast in the prominent part of his life as a new young actor. Somewhere in that process we just looked at each and I really don’t remember when it was to be honest, and just said, ‘We have a character who doesn’t age and happens to be the most popular character in the movie franchise,’ and as Hugh Jackman almost literally hasn’t aged, it then became Wolverine who we sent back in time,”
Cable creator Rob Liefeld has even thrown in actor Jon Hamm (Mad Men) as a perfect Cable if an X-Force movie gets off the ground.
Now on the opposite of the fan spectrum. The guys over at Concept Art World got their hands on early concept designs for various costumes in X-Men: days of Future Past. One in particular happens to be non other than Jubilee! With obvious likeness from Sucker Punch and Once Upon a Time star Jamie Chung. Was Chung cast in that infamous Rogue "Mutant Prison" scene but was cut as well? We may never know. At any right here is the concept art of how Jubliee was almost in the film.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is in theaters now!

'X-Force' Seems To Be Delayed Due To 'X-Men: Apocalypse'

Last year it was announced that Kick-Ass 2 director Jeff Wadlow was hired to pen the script of the X-Men spin-off X-Force with the possibility of directing. Some suggested this would be a better way to re-introduce fan favorite Deadpool and partner Cable in a PG-13 setting. Then news on the project got extremely quiet.....Now X-Force and Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld has taken to twitter to reveal the announcement of X-Men: Apocalypse the sequel to X-Men: Days of Future Past is what put X-Force on the back burner....just like Deadpool it seems:
Jeff Wadlow script exists and is assumed to be completed but the director is now rumored to have moved onto Masters of the Universe while X-Force is put on ice.

Creator Rob Liefeld Loves the 'X-Force' Script!

Ever since Kick-Ass 2 has come and gone director Jeff Wadlow has been hard at work getting the script done for X-Force. X-Force which was originally created by Rob Liefeld has had many members and incarnations. At this point we don't know which mutants will be apart of this film but some fan favorites include Cable, Deadpool and Domino just to name a few. Now the creator has actually read a draft of the script and has given some small updates via Twitter:
Not sure if the Cable/Deadpool moments confirms they are in the film or just story arcs from those comics but never-the-less this is still very exciting!

X-Force is expected to hit in 2016
