Bran, Hodor & The Gang Won't Be Appearing in Season 5 of 'Game of Thrones'

Well, it seems you will have to wait until season 6 of Game of Thrones to see what happens to Bran, Hodor, Meera and Summer (Jojeen Reed sacrificed himself at the end of the season). Last we saw the gang they had crossed The Wall and found the 3-Eyed Raven that has been in Bran's visions since season 1. Now Hodor himself Kristian Nairn spoke with Yahoo! Australia revealing that the gang won't be appearing in Season 5 at all:
"We have a season off and we have a year's hiatus, solely because I imagine our storyline is up to the end of the books. So, I get my year off now to do Rave of Thrones and gallivant all over the world."This isn't the first time we seen an entire storyline not be utilized in the show. Season 4 didn't even mention what happened to Bran's younger brother Riccon.

Director Guillermo del Toro Compares 'Lord of the Rings' & 'Game of Thrones'

Back before The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey started filming it was revealed that Hellboy and Pans Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro was going to direct the films with Lord if the Rings director Peter Jackson as the producer. Through several changes and circumstances their roles switch with del Toro becoming producer on The Hobbit films and Peter Jackson back in the directors chair. Now director Guillermo del Toro has taken part of a Reddit AMA to talk about him first falling in love with the Lord of the Rings as well as the hit HBO show Game of Thrones:
"I think that I have rarely been as transported in a movie theater as I was when I saw the Fellowship of the Ring unfold on the screen. I consider Peter Jackson one of the most gifted directors ever to tackle the fantasy genre. I believe that Game of Thrones, however, operates at a different level within arguably, the same genre. Game of Thrones has a social and sexual complexity that makes it a very different cutting-edge post-Vietnam Era fantasy story that deals with not only an impending enemy, or the purity of evil, but the relative evil that lurks within the hearts of all mankind. Therefore, tonally, I think that the works of Tolkien provides a completely different experience to Game of Thrones, but they are both masterworks of world creation."Ironically Sean Bean dies a terrible death in both Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings....

What Did George RR Martin Say To The People Who Think He Won't Finish 'Game of Thrones'?!

Today, the czechoslovakian newspaper Tagesanzeiger sat down with longtime Game of Thrones author George RR Martin about if he will ever finish the series. He has been working on the series A song of Fire and Ice since the 90's so the question still arises will he finish it? Well, the author didn't take to kindly to the fans who question his health and finally completing the series:
"I find that question pretty offensive, people speculating about my death and my health... I say fuck you to those people,"You don't mess with George RR Martin. I'd watch out to the next person who asks him to finish a series....he may kill off another Stark! Good thing HBO has gone on record to saying they aren't to worried about Martin's pace on the books in contrast to their hit TV Show.

A Song of Fire & Ice Author George R.R Martin Wants a 'Game of Thrones' Movie
Today The Hollywood Reporter spoke with author George R.R Martin about the success of the HBO show Game of Thrones based of his books during the Season 4 red carpet last night. He goes onto say he would like the finale of the series to actually be played on the big screen instead of HBO:
"It all depends on how long the main series runs. Do we run for seven years? Do we run for eight? Do we run for 10? The books get bigger and bigger (in scope). It might need a feature to tie things up, something with a feature budget, like $100 million for two hours. Those dragons get real big, you know."With so much money that went into Smaug for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug its not hard to believe Daenerys Targaryen 3 dragons may need a feature film budget.
