Any news on the upcoming Power Rangers reboot from Lionsgate has been minimal at best. Best the initial announcement and several screenwriters jumping on board we haven't heard much. But with the film scheduled to hit July 2016 casting and filming should be happening sometime this year. Now The Tomorrow People & The Flash star Robbie Amell responded to a fan yesterday who fancasted him as the Red Ranger and leader of the Power Rangers. He replied to the fan that it would be "a dream come true" if he ever got to play the character in the upcoming reboot.
