It has already been announced that Doctor Strange will be hitting theaters November 2016 starring Sherlock star Benedict Cumerbatch. Now Latino-Review has dropped an interesting tidbit on his mentor and the original Sorcerer Supreme known as The Ancient One. According to their sources Marvel has reached out to Godzilla star Ken Watanabe, The Dark Knight trilogy star Morgan Freeman and Pirates of the Caribbean star Bill Nighy to play the great mystic.
It should be known that in the comics The Ancient One is portrayed as an Asian mystic so the idea of Ken Watanbe is great actually. Also, should be pointed out that The Ancient One also trains Danny Rand when he becomes Iron Fist. So will one of these actors crossover to that Netflix series once the time calls for it?
