Deadline is reporting that the dynamic directing duo of Chris Miller & Phil Lord (22 Jump Street, The Lego Movie) has signed on with Warner Brothers to write The Lego Movie 2. It was unknown if the duo would return to the sequel or simply produce the project just like how they are producing Ninjago and Lego Batman. The site goes onto say that while they are only currently signed onto to write The Lego Movie 2 don't rule out them returning to direct as well.
The Lego Movie 2 will hit in 2018
