It's been very quiet on the Batman front of things when it comes to Batman V Superman: dawn of Justice. So far all we know is Jeremy Irons has been cast as Bruce Waynes friend and father figure Alfred. We also heard reports late last year that Nightwing may make an appearance as well but he may have since been written out of the script when Chris Terrio took over for David Goyer.
Now the guys over at Batman-on-Film claim to have a "friend" who is working on the film with information on another Batman ally Commissioner Gordon! According to their production friend the commissioner is indeed to make an appearance in the film in some minor capacity. They reached out to their other sources and have yet to hear back so chalk this up as nothing more than a rumor. But with Batman being "old and weathered" it makes complete sense that Gordon is around.
But what actor could follow Gary Oldman after his perfect performance in The Dark Knight trilogy? Maybe fan-favorite Bryan Cranston! He of course was also fan-favorite to play an older Lex Luthor before Jesse Eisenberg was cast but the fact Cranston also provided the voice of Gordon in the animated feature Batman: Year One means he obviously knows the character quite well. But again this is nothing more than a rumor and needs to be treated as such.....
