His response:
“I would under the right circumstances. But if (Tatum) does it, good on him. He’ll kill it. It’s such a cool character. Whoever plays him will be a lucky guy. It is what is it. I’m not going to be like ‘Oh my God, why don’t I get to play him?’ If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be. And if not, I’ll move on. If they cast (Tatum), I wish him nothing but the best. I hope he kicks the (crap) out of it.”It seems his stance on the matter is still the same then a few years ago when asked if he wanted a solo flick. That being said during the San Diego Comic-Con when a fan asked director Bryan Singer which mutants he would love to have his films he answered that Gambit was definitely one of them. Interesting given that X-Men: Apocalypse is slated for a 2016 release. Gambit as "Death" one of the the Horsemen of the Apyclopse anyone?
