POWERS Casts Sharlto Copley In Lead Role; Michelle Forbes as Retro Girl

Sony is bringing some serious star power to the upcoming Powers show, with Maleficent actor Sharlto Copley set to star as the perpetually squinting main character Scott Walker while Michelle Forbes will be lacing up the boots as Retro Girl.

Both Copley and Forbes have starred in nerd friendly titles like District 9 and Star Trek: The Next Generation, so I'm sure both actors are more than prepared to play around in a supernatural, hero filled world.

They join a cast that includes heavyweights like Eddie Izzard as Wolfe, Noah Taylor as Johnny Royalle, Susan Heyward as Deena Pilgrim, Max Fowler as Krispin Stockley, and Olesya Rulin as Calista.

The series will be exclusive to the Playstation Network, and is due to kick off in December.

"Powers" will be a one-hour fantasy drama about people with supernatural powers. The protagonist of the series is a detective who solves crimes that involve people who have superhero capabilities.
