Several days ago Deadline reported that Monsters: Dark Continent scribe Jay Basu (Far Left) has been tapped by Universal to write a untitled Universal Monsters movie. This comes after 2014's Dracula: Untold, 2016's The Mummy and The Wolfman all being previously announced. They all encasing the same monster universe by Universal Studios. It's entirely possible that after The Wolfman will come either Frankenstein of a Van Helsing reboot which Jay Basu maybe writing.
