Today, the showrunners of The CW's Flash TV series Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg commented at PaleyFest 2014 on making Detective West & Iris West African-American instead of the traditional Caucasian on their upcoming series. Berlanti said that "We made the West's African-American so we can head in that direction" when asked if they made the family African-American based on DC's New 52 which features an African-American Wally West. Andrew Kreisberg added: "When DC introduced Wally [in the New 52] he was African-American"
I guess only time will tell when we see fan favorite Wally West appear alongside Barry Allen on The Flash series. But with Barry only being in his early 20's Wally won't appear for a while...unless time-travel is involved?
