Bill Murray Endorses Upcoming Female 'Ghostbusters' Reboot

Talk on Ghostbusters 3 have been going on since the dawn of time. When will it be made? Who will direct? Will the core four return have such a long hiatus. Well, this past August Sony revealed that Bridesmaids director Paul Feig has been tapped to direct a all female Ghostbusters reboot! Which honestly sounds so much better then a female Expendables film.

Now while promoting his recent film St. Vincent (via Schmoes Know) actor and original Ghostbuster Bill Murray reveals that he loves the idea of a female Ghostbusters movie "It sounds great to me. It sounds as good an idea as any other! No, its a grand idea. I don't know who they are talking about, but it's a good idea. I'd watch it" Then he was pressed on which actresses he would love be in the film in which he replies "Melissa [McCarthy] would be a spectacular Ghostbuster. And Kristin Wig is so funny  - God she's funny! I like this girl Linda Cardellini a lot. And Emma Stone is so funny. There are some funny girls out there."

With McCarthy and Wig mentioned it seems like a no-brainier for them to re-team with their Bridesmaids director Paul Feig. When Murry's St. Vincent co-star Melissa McCarthy heard these comments from Bill Murry she replied. “That’s taking on a legend, a legendary movie. But I would do anything with those ladies, anything at all.” Also, Emma Stone was originally suppose to lead Ghostbusters 3 with Jonah Hill but that never materialized. So it makes sense Murry would name her.

We shall see if any of these comedy ladies will acutally end up in this female Ghostbusters project!
