Last week after almost 8 years director Edgar Wright and Marvel parted ways on the projected after Marvel changed huge portions of Wright and Cornish's original script. The fan-boy community was outraged over the split but it wasn't the first time Marvel split with a director. They included Patty Jenkins and Kenneth Branagh on Thor: The Dark World as well as Joe Johnston not returning for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Now, today The Hollywood Reporter got the scoop on the directors Marvel is looking at to replace Edgar Wright on their Ant-Man film.
They include We're the Millers breakout director Rawson Thurber, Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer and non other then Anchorman & The Other Guys director Adam McKay! Also, Warn Bodies director Jonathan Levine was mentioned but has since denied being contacted. Adam McKay seems to have the edge getting the gig based on the fact he did both Anchorman movies with Ant-Man star Paul Rudd.
An announcement will most likely happen fairly soon....
