Director Edgar Wright Leaves Marvel's 'Ant-Man'!

After well over 6 years of blood, sweat and tears on Marvel's tiniest hero Ant-Man the director Edgar Wright is leaving the project (via Variety) The film was scheduled to start filming this summer for the July 2015 release date but it seems Marvel is now shopping for a new director.
“Marvel Studios and Edgar Wright jointly announced today that the studio and director have parted ways on ANT-MAN due to differences in their vision of the film. The decision to move on is amicable and does not impact the release date on July 17, 2015. A new director will be announced shortly.”
We had heard rumors last month that the film shooting schedule had been pushed back two months but that has yet to be confirmed. It may have been something as simple as Edgar Wright taking way to long (6 years to be exact) to start filming this movie for the 2015 release date and Marvel was simply fed up.

I guess we will never know what a Edgar Wright/Marvel movie will be like with his unique style and use of smash cut scenes. Marvel seems to have already signed on a new director but has yet to reveal it.

Ant-Man will still hit in 2015
