Now all we know about Aquaman the movie is that Jason Momoa will indeed play the King of Atlantis. We also know two separate scripts are being written by Will Beall (Gangster Squad) & Kurt Johnstad (300: Rise of an Empire). It was also announced today that the film is expected to hit in 2018 with The Flash coming out the same year.
Now a tweet has gone out from The Aquaman Shrine who claims to have heard several supporting characters who will appear in the film. Of course take with a grain of salt...but they claim Black Manta, Mera, Orm and The Trench will appear in the film! Orm and Meras was also a given when it came to an Aquaman origin story but it's nice to see Black Manta maybe the villian of the film instead of Orm. Because the general audiences will just see it has a Thor/Loki storyline all over again...
