RUMOR: Obi-Wan Kenobi Spin-Off 'Star Wars' Movie In The Works?

Today, the website Making Star Wars who have been known for getting set videos and photos of the upcoming Episode VII film has now dropped a possible scoop on a spin-off film over at Disney/Lucasfilm. According to whispers concept artists and writers are being brought in for a possible Obi-Wan Kenobi spin-off film! Now this wouldn't be one of the first two untitled spin-offs that will be directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) or Josh Trank (Chronicle) since a little more then a whisper currently:
"I’ve heard from quite a few people now that an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie is in the works. For the spin-off movies they were initially going to stay away from any Jedi or Sith characters. But I’m hearing now that because of the popularity of Obi-Wan (fans recently voting for him on the official website etc) that an art team is now working with a writer on concepts for an Obi-Wan movie."
Last year when actor Ewan Mcgregor was doing the press rounds for the film Jack The Giant Slayer the actor was asked if he would ever reprise the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the upcoming Star Wars films if asked. In which the actor replied he would love to return to the character that made him famous and considered by some the greatest thing about the prequel films.

Logically speaking it will most likely be an "in-between-quell" and follow Obi-Wan during his time on Tatoonie as he watches over a young Luke Skywalker growing up. But that is just speculation at this point since the idea of the film has just begun....

Since this is nothing more as an idea it's time to chalk this up as rumor until proven otherwise for now....
