'Deadpool' Officially Greenlight for Spring 2016!

The day has arrived Deadpool fans. The moment we have all been waiting for. Ever since it was announced Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick were writing a Deadpool treatment after the atrocity that was X-Men: Origins we all have wondered "Will this movie ever get made". The film sat in limbo for almost 5 years. Then in 2012 test footage was being screened to only a handful of individuals and then something happened. In August of this year Blur Studios themselves "leaked" the test footage for the world to see with or without FOX's permission and the internet went insane with glee. This is the Deadpool we want to see.

Well, only a month and a half later FOX has greenlight the long awaited Deadpool film! The film is scheduled to hit February 12th, 2016 only a month before Warcraft & Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Last we heard from Deadpool comic creator Rob Leifeld is that this treatment only got past FOX after 5 years after Reese & Wernick made rewrites for a hard PG-13 Deadpool film. That does not mean an unrated DVD & Blu-Ray version won't be release just like last years The Wolverine. So keep that in mind before you swear up and down Deadpool can only be R-Rated.

Just the past weekend Deadpool himself Ryan Reynolds who is still attached to star commented on the internets reaction to the leaked footage he shot over two years ago:
"The movie has been in a state of limbo for a while. There was such an overpowering reaction to the footage, you sort of feel like, 'Oh, so we weren't crazy for our reasons for loving this character, for loving this role.' It's interesting to see the power of the Internet. It's awe-inspiring, actually,. And it's neat that Twitter and Facebook and Instagram can move mountains when used in the right way."

This is certainly a passion project for Reynolds given most actors would have jumped ship years ago but he kept with it....Tim Miller is expected to make his feature film debut with Deadpool. He did however direct the opening prologue for Thor: The Dark World & Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Deadpool will debut FINALLY February 12th, 2016
