Jon Hamm Denies 'Doctor Strange' Rumors

Earlier this year a report went out that Marvel was circling Johnny Depp to play Sorcerer Supreme in their upcoming Doctor Strange feature film. Literally a day later it was debunked stating that the talks with Depp for almost a year old, but then another reporter from the unknown website This Is Infamous stated that Mad Men star Jon Hamm had already signed onto the film. Well, it turned out to be unture because since then Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hardy and most recently Joaquin Phoenix have been in talks with Marvel with no sign of Jon Hamm even being hinted at.

Digital Spy has since caught up with Jon Hamm (Who was been a  fan favorite for both Superman & Batman) to ask him about the rumor in which the star denies it but admits he knows and likes the character of Doctor Strange:

"The funny thing about the internet is you can have rumors go on about possible jobs, and possible things that you have no idea. Maybe, I don't know. It's funny when the internet knows more about you than you do, but maybe they've been talking to someone at Marvel. I certainly wasn't approached about it, but I do like Dr. Strange. He's a cool character."
Doctor Strange is rumored to hit in 2016
