Earlier today The Hollywood Reporter dropped a shortlist of directors who Marvel was looking to replace Edgar Wright after he left Ant-Man last week. They included We're the Millers director Rawson Thurber, Zombieland's Ruben Fleischer and lastly Anchorman & The Other Guys director Adam McKay.

Then several hours later Ain't it Cool News from the scoop that Marvel had officially offered Adam McKay the gig as helmer of Ant-Man. Now The Hollywood Reporter and Variety both confirmed he will indeed take over as director of Ant-Man! The fact he has worked with Ant-Man star Paul Rudd on both Anchorman films definitely helped him land the gig.
