Right after Variety announced Corey Stoll had joined Marvel Ant-Man some reports said that Evangeline Lilly (Lost, The Hobbit 2) has joined as well. Well, now we have official confirmation that she has indeed joined as the female lead!
You may remember we at SMN reported that at one point Rashida Jones was considered for the role based on her chemistry she had with Paul Rudd, but she has since gone on to produce and star in two separate TV Shows which made it near impossible to star in a feature film with Marvel.
Never-the-less here is your female lead! Some speculate that its Janet Van Pym the daughter of Hank Pym and the original Wasp or a young Janet Van Dyne who simply falls for Scott Lang.
