Shortlist of Directors Revealed for Ubisoft's 'Splinter Cell' !?

It seems like forever ago when Ubisoft announced that they were moving forward personally adapting their video games into feature length films. First we are suppose to get Assassins Creed starring Micheal Fassbender. Then they announced Splinter Cell staring Tom Hardy with a few other films in various stages of development.
Hardy will play Sam Fisher, a highly-trained special operative in a fictional black-ops operation called Echelon.
Now the guys over at Schmoes Know have dropped a scoop on who they think are in discussions to take up the directors chair for Splinter Cell.  They include:
Shane Black (Iron Man 3), Peter Berg (Lone Survivor),  Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game), David Michôd (The Rover) Zal Batmanglij (The East).
They add that Peter Berg is most likely the front runner at this point cause of his work on Lone Survivor. Now I am forced to point our Schmoes Know shortlist of directors for the upcoming Masters of the Universe scoop ended up being completely false. That being said they have gotten other scoops correct like Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm and Bettlejuice 2 being in development.

Unfortunately I also need to add that if Ubisoft fails on bringing Assassins Creed to the bring screen as a massive hit in 2015. Its extremely unlikely they will move ahead with their other property's any time soon.
Splinter Cell release date is TBA
