Ron Howard is Rebooting 'The Jungle Book' Live-Action movie

It seems Warer Bros is getting into the live action adaptations of their classic animated property's. With a reboot on Peter Pan and Tarzan in the works it seems yet another classic story will get the live action treatment.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Ron Howard (Rush) is in talks to direct this live action reboot of the classic Jungle Book story!  This comes after Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (Babel) fell off the project due to scheduling conflicts.
Set in the jungles of India, the story centers on Mowgli, an orphaned boy raised by wolves who befriends Baloo the bear and Bagheera the black panther as he spars with the ferocious tiger Shere Khan.
Disney also has its own Jungle Book reboot in the works.

The Jungle Book release date is TBA
