In the past couple of weeks, Paul Rudd and "Ant-Man" have been the topic of the comic book world. Rudd has gone on record during the recent Anchorman 2 that he would not be involved with the film (he said it with a coy smile). Today, The Wrap and other major news sites have confirmed that Paul Rudd is in negotiations to star as Hank Pym in Edgar Wright's adaptation of Ant Man.
Paul Rudd was in the running with Joseph Gordon Levitt for the role but it seems that Marvel has made its choice. Marvel has been known for making good casting choices in the past (Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson) so if Rudd is being considered, his performance should be stellar.
