According to Badass Digest a Sandman movie maybe in the works. Now this is so early in development that anything is subject to change. According to their sources that WB maybe moving forward with David Goyer's script based off Neil Gaiman's critically acclaimed comic of the same name.
They go onto say that WB is looking at actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt to play the role of Morpheus. This may come as a massive blow to Marvel given that Gordon-Levitt's name has been attached to both Doctor Strange and Ant-Man. But considering his involvement with Goyer on The Dark Knight Rises it makes much more sense.
This comes off the announcement that Preacher will be headed to AMC. Again this is all subject to change so take it as such...
