EDITORIAL: Why Jaimie Alexander Can Be in Both Marvel & DC Fanboys!

A couple weeks back actress Jaimie Alexander (Thor: The Dark World) hinted to the fact that she knew the plot for Batman vs Superman at a AMC Movie Talk panel at Comikaze 2013. Many news website jumped on this story that she was in discussions to play Wonder Woman in the movie. Well, lets all face it Lady Sif has so far been the big screen Marvel version of DC's Wonder Woman. We all agree Jaimie Alexander would be our perfect Wonder Woman....

Many purist nerds however bring up the argument that Jaimie Alexander can't be Wonder Woman at DC given she is already Lady Sif at Marvel. Well thats not actually true. Scheduling and contract agreements aside...its been done before. Like a lot.

Here is the list of all the actors who have played multiple characters in different studios superhero movies:

Ryan Reynolds - Blade, X-Men: Origins Wolverine, and Green Lantern

Chris Evans - Fantastic Four and Captain America

Hallie Berry - X-Men Trilogy and Catwoman

Hugo Weaving - V for Vendetta and Captain America: The First Avenger

Idris Elba - Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and Thor

James Marsden - X-Men Trilogy and Superman Returns

Jon Favreau - Daredevil and Iron Man

Karl Urban - Priest and Dredd

Ray Stevenson - Punisher: War Zone and Thor

Rebecca Romijn - X-Men Trilogy and The Punisher

Ron Perlman - Hellboy and Blade II

Mark Strong - Kick-Ass and Green Lantern

BEN AFFLECK AS DAREDEVIL AND BATMAN!

Whats the moral of this story? That its been done before....alot. Now will her contract prohibit her from being in Batman vs Superman? Umm yeah! But just because she is a Marvel Character doesn't mean she can't be a DC also!
