'Star Wars: Episode VII' Is Headed Back to Tatooine; Chewbacca Set to Return!

Today The Hollywood Reporter revealed that JJ Abrams upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII will be headed back to Tatooine. The desert planet that we saw both young Anakin and Luke Skywalker grow up on will be reconstructed for the new trilogy. This time it will be filmed in Morocco instead of Tunisia like in the previous films.

We actually heard this rumor last year that Disney was considering New Mexico as a place to film Tatoonie but that was debunked by local officials.

Lastly, it was also revealed via The Hollywood Reporter that Peter Mayhew will indeed return as our favorite wookie Chewbacca in the new film. This was also rumored last year as well.
