After announcements that Masters of the Universe and Jem & the Holograms were getting the live-action reboot treatment it was only a matter of time before Flash Gordon was announced. Last week Film Divider actually broke the scoop but was then corroborated by The Hollywood Reporter that 20th Century FOX has acquired the rights to the project after Sony failed to get it off the ground in 2008. Scribes J.D Payne and Patrick McKay have been brought on to pen the script.
Flash Gordon is based on the classic 1930's comic and corny 1980's movies.
