With Peter Pan, Tarzan and The Jungle Book all getting live action reboots added to the list of Snow White & The Huntsman as well as Maleficent it was only a mater of time before we added another fairytale to that list.
Deadline is reporting that The Bling Ring director Sofia Coppola is in final negotiations to helm The Little Mermaid. Edward Scirssorhands scribe Caroline Thompson was brought on to rework the script that was originally conceived by Fifty Shades of Grey scribe Kelly Marcel.
The Little Mermaid release date is TBA
